Chapter 18

Alex POV

Today was the day that Ashton could finally go back to school. It was getting lonely without my mate by my side.

I am currently in my car urgently waiting for Ashton to arrive at school. He decided to walk to school this morning, he wanted to take a breather before returning, though I relucted, I let him do what he pleased. I knew how hard this was for him, it was overwhelming, after everything that happened with Carter. I knew how he felt. I felt his pain. After this occurrence, I made a promise to myself to never let Ashton out of my sight.

Though I promised myself to never let him leave my sight again. Little did I know there was danger ahead.

I looked at my watch and it was about 7:30 in the morning. I decided to wait for him at the front gates of the school so I can be able to see him once he walks through the gates. At one point, my best friends arrived at school and offered to stay behind as well to wait for him, but I said that it was okay and they should go ahead ill catch up with them. They all glanced worriedly at me, but nodded, nonetheless.

The 8:00 am bell rings, no sign of Ashton. I start to worry. He's not the type of person to come late. ever since I met him, he would always arrive at school earlier than me.

30 minutes pass. My wolf and I start to get anxious. I call his cell no answer, straight to voicemail. I call again, straight to voicemail.

Something's not right. I sniff the air searching for his scent but, I don't sense him anywhere. Now acknowledging that he never arrived at school.

Sam, Matt, Levi, Something's wrong. Ashton hasn't arrived yet. Meet me at the front gates.

They didn't have to answer to know they got the message. In no time they were at the front gate.

"something's not right. Ashton isn't here yet. And before you say that maybe he woke up late but he isn't answering his phone. I let him walk to school because he told me he needed some fresh air and he begged me to, but now he's not answering, and I can't catch his scent either." I started panicking. "I shouldn't have let him go on his own." I clasped my head and panicked started walking back and forth.

I took a deep breath to drown my panic.

Whoever took our mate is going to wish they were dead.

I growled. indeed they were.

I ran to my car with matt, Levi, Sammy following behind. we got in, I turned on my car and sped out of the school's parking lot with Matt, Levi, and Sammy.

I sped to Ashton's house. I hastily parked the car. the stench of rouges was heavily through the air. Oden growled in my head. I furiously walked towards the door. my friends perking up at my anger. they finally noticed why I was so furious. noticing that Ashton's dad's car was not in the driveway assuming that he was at work. 

Noticing my anger matt, Levi and Sammy, walked towards Ashton's house while I try to control oden to not shift and lash out at anything or anyone. 

Oden,  calm down and breathe

how can I calm down when the rouges probably took Ashton, he is in danger. What do the rouges want!

I'm furious too, they took our mate but we need to gather around and think of a plan. once we find them they are going to play.

he growled in agreement

now that I finally controlled oden. I walked to Ashton's house to meet my friends. 

I walked in, and the smell of rouges infested his place. I controlled myself for my sake and walked into his house to scout out the place. nothing was out of place. everything was where it was supposed to be. i met up with levi and the others  in the kitchen. 

"nothing was out of place upstairs." said Sam 

"same here" Levi added 

nothing was out of place down here either."  i sighed

we all looked at each other " if nothing was taken, then i assume they broke into the house after ashton and his dad. what do they want from him?"

I promise to post more chapters and make them more lenghtier.
I know I haven't posted in a long time. Some things have happened and I'm trying to get my life on track with everything that is happening.
I know it isn't an excuse. But at least I told you the reason why I haven't been active.
