Chapter 12

^^^^^ where Alex takes Ashton for his date^^^^^

  

Ashton POV

Right now, I was in my room hyperventilating about having nothing to wear.

"I can't believe I said yes" I was pacing through my room; I am honestly debating on texting him and cancel and do it another time. 'No' I mentally yelled. I slapped my cheeks 'you can do this'. I like him. He likes me, I hope. I need to give him an opportunity. I looked at the clock. "shit, I don't have time, to screw around." 

It was a quarter past five and he was going to pick me up at 6 o'clock.

I grabbed my towel and went to shower. I turned on the nozzle and waited for the water to warm up, then stripped and got in. I quickly scrubbed my body and washed my hair. Once I was done, I stepped out, wrapped my towel around my waist, and left the bathroom. I decided to go casual with some black slacks and a white polo shirt. I quickly slipped on the slacks slid on my shirt and decided to just wear some black vans. "my hair is getting long" it touched the nape of my neck. 

"maybe I should get a haircut."  I tried to fix my slightly damp hair, but it was no use. Luckily, I found a beanie that matched my outfit and put it on. I got ready just in time before the bell rang signalizing that Alex was here. Dang, my nerves came back.

I opened the front door, and he was standing there with all his glory, that had me melt into a puddle of goo. He just gorgeous and sexy and I couldn't wait for him to fuck me. I opened my eyes in shock 'stop being a pervert'.

Hey, Ashton, you look beautiful." I blushed and I tell you I was ready to bolt.

"you look sexy" I blustered out unconsciously. My face flamed up, my whole body was on ablaze with all this blushing and embarrassment. I didn't notice his hands were behind his back. Until he revealed a bouquet of flowers. "I didn't know what to give you, so I bought you some flowers and I tried to pick the one that matches your eyes but then they all looked good, so I picked all of them. When I was ready to leave. I saw this gold lace ribbon and it reminded me of you. So...yeah" he said shyly while rubbing the back of his neck.

 "they're beautiful." I stepped aside and let him in, while I went to find an empty vase to put the flowers in. I found one but it had to be on the top shelf. I got on my tiptoes but still couldn't reach it. I curse myself for being short. I jumped up but I still couldn't reach it. I grumbled, I got on top of the counter, grabbed the vase but on the way down I lost my footing, I yelped and closed my eyes waiting for the harsh impact but instead, I felt a soft but muscular chest behind me. I opened my eyes and saw Alex behind me. "Are you okay?" he asked worriedly. He set me down. "yeah, I couldn't reach for the vase, so I got on the counter and grabbed the vase but lost my footing, but then you caught so I'm good, thanks." 

"next time you can ask me. You almost gave me a heart attack when I came into the room and I saw you falling" he said. I chuckled nervously and went to fill the vase and put the flowers in. 

"you ready?" I nodded. I left a note to my dad saying I was with a friend. I grabbed my keys, phone, and wallet before he led me outside to his car.

Halfway through the drive, I asked him curiously "where are we going?"

"it's a surprise." He smiled. He grabbed my hand and I blushed. "it may take a while. If your sleepy go to sleep; I'll wake you up when we get there." I nodded. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

He shook me awake. I slowly opened my eyes and look over at him. "we are here". He got out of the car and walked towards the passenger's side, where he opened the door and helped me get out. I looked around and we were in the forest. "before we go. I'm going to blindfold you; I don't want you to see yet." I nodded. And turned around so he could cover my eyes. I'm not going to lie I was nervous. Who knows we might be here so he could kill me and hide my body?

 "hold my hand, we have to walk a little bit and I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself." I blushed "ok". He held my hand and led me through the forest. Upon walking I almost fell to my death more times than I can count. He let go of my hand and put his hands on my shoulders. "We are here. I hope you like it" he whispered in my ear, then proceeded to take off the blindfold. I adjusted my vision from my surroundings and gasped at the view before me. We were in front of a beautiful lake which had a waterfall. Tress covered the lake so there was only one trail that led to the lake and it was beautiful. This was going to be my favorite spot. There in front of me was a blanket with a picnic basket in the middle in the clearing. I turned around and gazed up at him "this is beautiful, thank you so much" tears sprung in my eyes. I jumped on him and gave him the tightest hug I could manage. 

He smiled "shall we?" 

he held out his hand. I grabbed his hand and he led us to the blanket. The view was breathtaking. He started taking out the items in the basket. There were different containers filled with sandwiches, different types of fruits, and veggies, and my favorite part dessert, he also took out a bottle of wine? and 2 wine glasses.

 "I really don't know how to cook, and I thought sandwiches are the best way to go. You can't go wrong with sandwiches" I giggled in which he proceeded to rub his neck in embarrassment. He opened all the containers and handed me over a Philly steak sandwich and offered me fruits which I happily accepted. I gobbled the sandwich down. "well you make killer sandwiches" I said happily. He smiled.

"how do you know of this place? "I curiously asked. "I used to play here a lot when I was younger. I love this place; I sometimes escape home if I'm too stressed or just need some fresh air, it's beautiful, it's calming and relaxing."

We ate, we joked, we laughed, all in all, it was an enjoyable time. I learned that he loves running, every morning he jogs before school. He loves meat. He loves reading books even though he doesn't look like it. This date was amazing. I just couldn't take my eyes off this wonderful place and him. At one moment we soaked our feet in the lake and just stared at the beautiful view. Alex is a wonderful person and at one moment I started thinking about my future with him. What would life be like? Would we get married? Will we adopt? 

He tapped my shoulder and said, "I want to show you something else." He stood up and offered his hand in which I accepted and lead us to a whole bunch of rocks. "we have to climb a couple of rocks, but it will be a wonderful view."

Once we reached the top of the cliff. I gasped. I was mesmerized by the view. The sunset was gorgeous.

 "it's beautiful," I whispered in amazement. 

He smiled "it's my sacred place, whenever I feel like I want to escape the world, I always go here." I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him in the tightest hug I could give him. "Thank you for taking me here. It was wonderful." 

"I'm glad, you were wonderful, I hope I can take you to another date" I nodded and looked up at him. We both looked at each other and it was like our eyes were telling us what we wanted. He leaned down and I leaned up till our lips connected. It was the most amazing feeling in the world. I snuggled my head on his chest. "you can take me anywhere." 

We sat close to the edge of the cliff and just enjoyed the sunset. My head on his shoulder, and fingers intertwined. Eventually, the sun had escaped the sky and the stars appeared. Everything was perfect.

But I didn't know that everything was about to change.
