Toni slowly pulled into Sunnyside Trailer Park and parked as close to her trailer as possible. She shut the engine off, locked the car as soon as they both stepped out and Toni instantly rushed around to the passenger side of the car before anyone could notice the redhead. "So this is where you live?" Cheryl asked, looking around at the trailers.

"Yeah... It's not that special." Toni responded, slightly embarrassed and kicking at the ground.

Cheryl noticed her reaction and rolled her eyes, "yeah? Well it's special to you, so shut it."

"Come on, let's get inside before anyone notices."

Toni took Cheryl's hand and pulled her towards the small house, unlocking the door in a hurry and entering.

Cheryl took a look around as soon as she entered, her eyes widening at the sight of the cleanliness. "Okay, I'm just going to be honest, I didn't expect the inside to be this spotless."

"I'm not like the rest of them. I like to think of myself as a germaphobe."

"A serpent? As a germaphobe?" Cheryl laughed.

"I know. It's weird right?" She raced to her bed and plopped down onto it, "come sit."

Toni patted the edge of the bed next to her and watched as  Cheryl followed after her, sitting down on the bed and looking around. "So.. is your sister going to burst in here soon?"

"Most likely, although I believe she is working on the English project with Jughead later today."

Cheryl nodded along. "Alright, well should we just get this started?"

Toni smiled, "of course."

The serpent opened her laptop and went to google, "so... gay marriage?"

"Yup." Cheryl looked down at the laptop with a serpent sticker on it. "I can't believe we actually picked that."

"Technically you picked it, I just agreed." Toni chuckled, "we can change it if you want."

"No." She shook her head, "no it's fine."

"You sure?" Toni replied, smiling at the redhead. "I mean I already listed other topics we could do."

"And I told you that gay marriage stood out to me." Cheryl scooted closer to Toni. "Let's do this."

And so they got to work. Taking tons of notes on the topic of gat marriage and filled up page after page after page of notes.

By 10:35 at night, Toni and Cheryl were laying close on the serpents bed, throwing their note books to the side and watching television.

"I think I should be heading home. I've already overstayed my welcome and well... my mother isn't going to like that I've not arrived home by now."

"What do you mean your mother isn't going to like that?" Toni wondered, watching the redhead move away from her, reaching for her phone that had been thrown on the floor.

"She..." Cheryl sighed, "she doesn't like me being home late. It usually doesn't end well."

"In which?"

"Does it matter?!" Cheryl snapped, shooting glares at the girl still laying in the bed.

"I- sorry, Cheryl. I just truly am concerned. Sorry for intruding."

"No, Toni." She closes her eyes for a second, taking a deep breath in and releasing it slowly. "I'm the one that's sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. It's clear that you're only trying to help out. If you truly want to know, she... she umm.."

"You don't have to say, Cheryl. It's your personal life and we've only just met."

A small smile formed on Cheryl's face but only for a split second. "It's fine Toni, seriously. Yeah, we've only just met but I feel like I can trust you more than anyone else in my life... sadly. My mother... she just usually attacks me if I don't do something right or don't listen properly."

"What?" Toni replied, perking up from her position on the bed so she was sitting up. "Physically or verbally?"

Cheryl shook her head clearly not wanting the conversation to go any further. "Both."

Toni sighed, patting the bed again. "Lay back down."

"Why?"

"You can spend the night if you want too. I won't let you go home to her if she's going to just hit you."

Cheryl just stared at the other female for a second, but quickly looking away.

Was she blushing?

"T-Toni... you don't have to do this. I can just sneak through my bedroom window and lock my door. You don't have to worry about me, I'll be fine. And I don't want her to come after you."

"She won't know it was me that  took care of you." Toni replied, patting the bed again, "now lay back down before I make you."

Cheryl smiled, climbing back in between the covers and moving close to the serpent again. "Are you sure about this?" She asked, "I mean I can leave if you wan-"

"Cheryl. I've never been more sure of anything in my entire life." She pulled the covers up to her shoulders and turned to lay on her side. "Now try to rest."

Cheryl flipped onto her own side and watched at Toni turned off the lamp.

It grew silent and dark.

Way too dark.

Cheryl was used to the light shining  through the window in her room. She wasn't used to the full darkness of the night.

"Thank you." She found herself whispering into the dark, cuddling closer to the female laying next to her.

Toni only chuckled and scooted closer, wrapping an arm around the redhead's body, pulling her into her embrace. Their bodies pressing against each other and the coolness of the room eventually fading away at the feeling of the body warmth between the two. "You're welcome, Cher."

Cheryl blushed at the sound of the new nickname as she wrapped her own arm around the abdomen of Toni and hide her head directly underneath Toni's chin and neck.

The two were practically cuddling at that point and Cheryl didn't remotely seem to care.

She only hoped in that moment, that it could last forever.

Damn their relationship is blossoming at a fast rate, huh?
