~Chapter 3~

Night came quickly as Toni laid down peacefully in the comfort of her bed. Her head hit the pillow and in an instant, her eyes fluttered closed.

Just as sleep was about to overtake her, a sudden vibration from her phone caused her eyes to flutter open once again.

She carefully reached over in the darkness and grabbed it, switching it on and reading a text from a random number.

Unknown: Hey, this is Cheryl. Are you still awake?

Toni laid her head back down onto the pillow and smiled. 

The first thing she did was change her name.

Toni🐍💚: Hey! And yeah, I haven't had the change to close my eyes peacefully yet.

Cheryl🍒🔥: Oh, I'm sorry.

Toni🐍💚: Nah, It's fine.

Toni🐍💚:  Though it is kind of shocking.

Toni🐍💚:  Why are you texting me at 11:05 at night?

Cheryl🍒🔥: Remember the actual and only reason I gave you my number?

Cheryl🍒🔥: Yeah, that's why I'm texting you at 11:05 at night.

Toni🐍💚: You couldn't have said something sooner though?

Toni🐍💚: And not when I'm literally about to sleep?

Cheryl🍒🔥: Like I said, I'm sorry. And It's not usual for me of all people to apologize, so just please accept it.

Cheryl🍒🔥: If you want to sleep, let's just get this discussion over with then?

Toni🐍💚:  Alright, fine.

Cheryl🍒🔥: What topic do you want to do?

Toni🐍💚: I don't know?

Toni🐍💚: Abortion? Phones in school? Gay marriage? Birth control?

Cheryl🍒🔥: So you had all of these ideas and you didn't think to say anything about them at school?

Toni🐍💚:  Look I clearly wasn't thinking.

Cheryl🍒🔥:  'Clearly'

Cheryl🍒🔥:  But I'm not going to lie, Gay Marriage spiked my interest.

Cheryl🍒🔥:  So let's just do that one.

Toni🐍💚: Any reason why?

Cheryl🍒🔥: No.

Toni🐍💚:  Just no?

Cheryl🍒🔥:  Yes, just no Toni.

Toni🐍💚:  Alright, gay marriage. That's our topic.

Toni🐍💚:  Now will you let me sleep? Please?

Cheryl🍒🔥: Who would've known that someone who looks so nice would get so annoyed without sleep.

Cheryl🍒🔥:  Whatever. Sure.

Cheryl🍒🔥:  Can't believe I just had a conversation with a serpent and kept my cool almost the entire time.
