SANEM AND CAN: OUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE BORING

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

The next morning Can and Sanem were tired and subdued, from an almost sleepless night watching over their children and worrying.

The children were quiet realizing something wasn't right, as their parents usually laughed a lot and played with them.    Little Ates went to his Anne, climbed into her lap, and started patting her face with both hands.    He said, "Don't be sad Anne, I help you."   Then he started hugging Sanem while she tried to hide her tears.   The girls didn't like it because Ates was hugging their Anne.   They came running and jumped on Ates and Sanem.   Can started laughing, and before he knew what happened all three children were jumping on him and knocking him in the floor as he squatted to catch them.    Now everyone was laughing and Can was trying to tickle the children, but they were tickling him.    Ates jumped up and ran and got his Anne and pulled her onto the floor with them.    Now, all five of them, were rolling around on the floor laughing. 

  Detective Altay had walked up to the door and started to knock, when he saw the scene in the dining area.   He just stood and smiled at all of the love and fun this little family was having.   He decided then and there that he would solve this case as quickly as possible, because this family deserved peace.

Sanem noticed Detective Altay first, and jumped up saying, "I'm sorry we were just letting off a little steam, before breakfast."   Can and the children sat up looking at the detective, and started slowly getting up.

Detective Altay replied, "No problem, looks like you were all having fun.    I just wanted to let you know we have ten police officers and me, looking for clues in the woods right now.    Now carry on having fun!"    He turned and went to join his men in their search.

Can and Sanem got the children cleaned up and they came to the table to eat their breakfast.     After breakfast Can went to see if he could be of help to the police officers.

Bulut was already helping when he walked up to Detective Altay.    He was given a pair of rubber gloves and a bag, with instructions to pick up anything that does not naturally belong in the woods.   They looked all morning, with very little to show but a few pieces of paper or debris that had blown in with the wind, from the highway.

When the mail was delivered, the police were still there.    Sanem received another envelope with a note that said, 'Now you've done it, called in the police.   You think that will save you, think again.   I am coming for you and your brats.'   Inside were pictures of Can, Sanem, and all three children in their bed sleeping from the previous night.  Sanem was so shocked that she couldn't breathe, Can held her while she had a panic attack.  

 Detective Altay and his officers tore their bedroom apart and found two tiny cameras hidden in a heat vent, and a light fixture.   Can and Sanem were devastated to know that there were cameras in their bedroom.   How did they get there?   No work had been done in the house, no strangers had been anywhere in the house.   The only time that the house had been empty for any length of time, was when the triplets were born three years ago.   

Sanem said crying, "I actually feel dirty to think, we have had no privacy in our home."  Can was angry and disgusted to think some person they knew was threatening their family and invading their home.   He was glad the children were down for a nap and not hearing any of these disgusting findings.   Detective Altay suggested that they go stay with family members for a few days until their house can be swept more carefully for cameras and recording devices.   He was afraid someone was sitting at a computer somewhere watching everything that was going on in their home.   He was angry and frustrated for this sweet family.    It was uncalled for and he was going to find out who this devious sick person is at all costs.

Over the next few days Can, Sanem, and the children stayed with Nihat and Mevkibe at their Malhalla home.   The children loved it and had so much fun with their grandparents; they didn't understand that anything was wrong.   Can and Sanem were very worried and actually scared.   There was a police officer assigned to go everywhere with Sanem, but she stayed with her babies and didn't really go anywhere.

The police found more cameras in the house, in the nursery, kitchen, living room, and in the garden area.   No one could figure out how they were even hidden on the property.   Sanem was actually sick to her stomach, and terrified when learning about all of the cameras.   Can was devastated and angry.   He could not even really think of anyone, even Polen or Ceyda that would be so cruel.   What is wrong with people?   All of their family was horrified when they found out the extent of the threats and hidden cameras.

Detective Altay was working hard to find any clue, of who was behind the threats and stalking.    The only thing that had been decided was that more than one person was behind all of it.  The police were following up on Polen.   She was already out of prison for the Ponzi scheme, because of good behavior, and was still in Istanbul.   She was under surveillance by the police.    So far she was staying with her brother, Yigit someone that Can or Sanem had never even met..

They were checking all of Huma's contacts, visitors, and phone calls that she was getting in the prison.   She would be getting out soon.

With Aylin it was the same checking her contacts, visitors, and phone calls where she had just been released from the same prison as Huma.

Fabri had also been interrogated by the Italian police, and was being investigated to see if he was in contact with any of the other suspects in Turkey.   So far the police were coming up empty finding any clues that pointed to a specific person or persons.    Detective Altay was calling in a friend of his who is a computer specialist, to see if he could come up with anything.

Detective Altay even had an undercover officer enter the Agency as a new employee to listen to any of the gossip going round.   So far they have reported if you want to know anything at all in the office, ask Guliz, or CeyCey, but he doesn't talk about things like she does.   They did determine that Guliz talks to everyone and knew where Can and Sanem lived.   She had been to the farm for the surprise baby shower.   She has a new boyfriend and that is the only thing she is secretive about.  The undercover officer, a female is trying to get close to Guliz and see who he is, and why is she hiding him.

Detective Altay is getting concerned about Sanem's safety as she has received two more threatening letters with photos of her and the kids in the garden at her parents.   Sanem has refused to open any mail that she receives and gives to the police immediately to open for her.   The police did not find any cameras in the Aydin home, and could only determine photos were from long range camera or drone photos.

Can wanted Sanem, the children, and himself to leave Istanbul for a while, until the police finished their work.   Sanem was afraid to leave the protection they were getting from the police in Istanbul.  

Detective Altay advised them to put off any travel for now, he felt like between police protection and the Malhalla neighbors they were safer where they were.   There was actually a police officer assigned to follow Can to work and back.    Aziz came out of retirement to help at work and see if he noticed anything amiss.   Emre and Leyla were being very careful, and the police were doing regular patrols through the area around the farm.    Bulut was staying at the farm twenty-four hours a day now.
