Once we landed we were taken onto a helicopter and brought over nothing but desert. Hundreds of miles of just dirt until we landed on a spot that was rockier than all the other spots. Mr. Argent and I both got out and he waved the pilot goodbye and then looked at me with a smile plastered on his face. "This will be your new home for the next couple of months" he grinned opening his arms to show me nothing but dirt and rocks.

I arched an eyebrow, "You mean to tell me that this is some survival type of thing where I have to live in the middle of the desert because what the hell am I supposed to do with that?" I asked confused as I crossed my arms.

He shook his head and laughed, "No no my dear, your new home awaits inside..." he said as he proceeded to walk towards the boulder in front of us. I looked at him with confusion wanting to ask if this was a joke or if I was still in a deep slumber. As he stood directly in front of the huge rock he said his full name and then to my surprise a door appeared just like that. I stood there stupidly for a moment until I followed Mr. Argent in and soon enough the door behind us closed shut in a swift movement like in the movies.

Wow I thought, these places really do exist. What if this was area 51? OMG, could it be?

What, no don't be that stupid Selene.

I shook my head while my mind raced with a million thoughts and my body pumped adrenaline like a junkie. Honestly, if it wasn't for the adrenaline that was pumping through every vein, I would not be walking right now. I barely had energy, but somehow I was still pushing through, the anticipation killing me.

The corridor we were in was a long one, rocky walls hugging us on either side. Lights posted at the top of both walls lighting up the hall thoroughly. We were definitely inside a cave or something along those lines. At least that is the only rational thought that came to my mind.

"Right over here Ms. Hunter, won't be that much longer." Mr. Argent stated as he took a quick glance at me and proceeded to walk. I nodded not saying anything and just blindly following.

Once we were out of that long corridor we emerged into an enormous room. I stared in awe at my surroundings trying to take it all in. This was exactly like the movies, it felt surreal, and for some reason I never felt more alive. I know it sounds corny, but I feel like everything that I have trained for and gone through prepared me for this moment right here or else why would I even be here?

The room we were in was enormous to say the least. It looked like a warehouse and nothing like a cave anymore. It was pretty packed with equipment at every corner, black cement covering the floor with the most gorgeous skylight I had ever seen. All the natural light really gave this place its 'awe' effect. A very big screen plastered onto the wall surrounded by smaller monitors and control panels. It was very surreal to see. I saw people sitting at their posts working away, collecting data, their eyes glued to their screens.

"This is what you would call one of our center of operations Ms. Hunter... now we will take this elevator down for you to meet your team, follow me." Mr. Argent stated as he gave me a brief moment to collect myself. I nodded again and began to follow him towards the elevator. Once we were in the elevator there were only six buttons to choose from: 1st Level, 2nd Level, 3rd Level, 4th Level, 5th Level and 6th Level. Mr. Argent proceeded to push level four and then we were on our way down. "How many feet down?" I asked curiosity getting the best of me.
