Disclaimer, i dont mean the KionxFuli fanbase in general, but rather the ones who ruin everything after season 3 aired.This is basically a chapter that is going to let me vent out my frustration.Just to be clear, i do like KionxFuli.
Do you remember a time before season 3, there were good or at least decent KionxFuli stories. Although they sometimes followed the same formula, they also tried to do something new. But then The season 3 finale aired, and it awakened a part of the fanbase, the part of the fanbase that cried in protest hating that Kion ended up with Rani instead of Fuli. Now I know that the relationship between Kion and Rani could have gone better. They should have created a character arc for Kion where he has a crush on Rani, and Rani feels the same but she is the "be mean to your crush" girl, that would have gone better and could have been entertaining to see Kion try to impress Rani. I focused on the eye contact between kion and Rani during the second half of season 3, and only like 3 times they did show a hint of attraction, but then again this is intended for children and if this was for older kids, they would have probably done this (which is why I want seasons 4 and on to be on Disney XD). But there is still a chance for their relationship to be developed in season 4 if they ever make one. But people were protesting saying that Fuli is better. But unlike seasons 1 and 2, their Chemistry wasn't very good, they actually felt like they were friends and nothing more during season 3, there was no Romantic chemistry between them, but instead showed friendship chemistry. But people were caught up in their fantasy land so I dont know what was going through their heads.
But this has affected fan fics on here, now there are stories where Kion does leave Rani for Fuli, and they all feel the same. Kion doesn't feel the same about rani, he wants to be with Fuli, Rani is the Villain. Seriously thats it, its copy paste for 99% of them. Most of them dont try to do something new, or have a long therm story. These stories could go better if Kion Leaves Rani for Fuli but Kion and Fuli were villains instead of Rani, it would also be a good character arc for Rani if Kion and Fuli were evil, she invited Kion into her home, then Kion tried to betray her, it would have a lot of emotional moments between them and could be a great story. But instead people will go,"I hate Rani blah blah blah" which is annoying. And the casual viewers of the show, who have accepted Kion and Rani could be turned off if they want to start reading Lion Guard Fanfics if they see the immature attitude from the KionxFuli fanbase (the immature ones), and give them the impression that the fanbase is closed minded who cant come up with an original plot.
What i am trying to say is that the KionxFuli fans, if they don't like KionxRani, just go back to writing Stories that take place during season 1 or 2, and ignore the characters and events from season 3, it would be better and can give original and Great stories, like how we used to do it,
