An intimadating glare was piercing into Lucas Wong's whole body as he struggled to maintain an eye contact with his boss, Jake Wang, seated in his chair in the CEO'S Office. Beside his boss was Youngjae, the private investigator Jake hired to know his whereabouts after going AWOL for three days.
Before Jake could utter a single word, a knock on the door was heard and Mark came rushing inside. He just glanced at Lucas before standing beside Jake.
"Before you go ahead and reprimand him, let me just tell you that your secretary fell ill this morning and she is so frantic about not being able to call your cell. She emailed me your schedule." Mark informed in a matter-of-fact tone.
"So what do we have for today beside reprimanding our favorite artist?" Jake asked as they exchanged looks inside the office.
"First, your Mom's check-up is at 1 this afternoon. Second, we have to be at the hall at 9:30 today for Bambam's contract signing in our company." Mark read as Jake checked his watch. He still got two hours before the contract signing.
"Third, you will have a meeting at 3pm today with Jin-PD and JB's staff for the short series that you will start shooting at the end of this month. And lastly, you and I have to talk to the press about Lucas' disappearance in his schedules at 6pm today." Mark sighed before looking at Lucas who has been standing helplessly the whole time he is briefing Jake with his schedule.
"I get it. Thank you, Mark. Maybe you and Youngjae would want to catch up with each other as I talk to Lucas." Jake suggested and Mark nodded as Youngjae followed him to the door.
Jake massaged his temple before looking at Lucas.
"Now, tell me what really happened. I believe that you will not do such a thing unless you have an acceptable reason." Jake calmly asked and Lucas drew a heavy breath.
"I feel so pressured right now and I feel so anxious. I am so afraid about everything around me. Look, hyung, I am really sorry for not informing you about where I'm going. I just...I am drowning in my misery and I can't think straight anymore. I'm really sorry for bringing you trouble." Lucas explained apologetically and Jake shook his head.
"One thing you should never do is apologize for being in pain. Trust me, I've had my share of dark days and I know how hard it is to cope with it. I just hope you could have reached out. Don't pressure yourself too much and you've got to convince yourself that you are doing a great job. Because you are." Jake hoped that his words reached through Lucas and he felt a little bit at ease when he saw how the latter nodded as tears fell from his eyes.
"Don't worry. This company will never abandon you in this time of darkness. I'll ask Mark to book you a ticket to Switzerland where you can have time for healing. I have a friend there who will look after you. Consider this as a price of your hard work. So when everything goes well once again, we will welcome you with open arms." Jake assured and it took just three seconds for Lucas to ran to his side and hug him tight, like a thankful little brother.
After their talk, Jake proceeded to his next schedules.
Meanwhile, Snow was doing the final edits of Asher and Rina's pre-nuptial video. That was the first pre-nup video that she ever directed and her brother couldn't hide how proud he is of his sister.
After the second tragedy, he decided to help Snow re-establish her career and she has now promoted herself to becoming a director herself and he did not regret that his company invested in her very first project which brought billions in his company from the viewers all around the world.
"Are you done? Let me seeeee." Rina excitedly took the laptop from Snow as they watched the pre-nup together. Rina hugged her tight as she cried after watching how the video looked like a movie scene.
