Since Snow learned a lot from working with international directors not only in directing but also in videography and sound effects, she was asked by Director Jin to coordinate with everyone.
Jin considered Snow as the hidden ace the team has for the success of the film that they are producing.
As he watched how she gave some suggestions to the lighting and camera director, he knew that it would become a success.
Jin met her half a year ago in a theater fest while he was on vacation in America. Snow recognized him right away, saying she was a fan of a drama that he produced. They remained in contact with each other until Jin learned that she was a part of three movies that was loved by people around the world for three consecutive seasons. He couldn't figure out how she managed to do the work for all three but he respected how she worked.
Then an idea occurred and he contacted one of the directors who worked with Snow. The director told him she used the name White Kim and was truly a creative assistant director. When the director got stressed with the actors, she would calm him and talk it out with the actors. She would also take care of the other staffs and give useful input in a friendly tone to the camera directors, videographers and music directors. The director's comments made Jin contact Snow right away for a possible partnership and he was surprised she didn't turn him down.
Meanwhile, Snow approached Jake after talking to the lighting and camera directors. She hoped to listen to the background music that Jake would be using at the happiest day of Bam and Lisa, the characters in their film.
"Wang-PD, I am afraid I interrupted your work. I just hope to listen to the background song you will be using later so that Jin-PD would be able to know how the angles would work best." She politely said as Jake removed his headphone.
"You sure work a lot. Looks like Park-PD did a good job at hiring someone like you." Jake commented as he pressed on some keys on his device.
"Excuse me?" Snow's right brow arched and Jake realized he might have offended her.
Ever since day one at work, Jake thought Snow was just pretending not to know her so he was determined to ignore her as well, test her if that's what he needed to do to find out the truth.
But when he looked directly at her, the lines on her forehead and her brow still raised told him she was really genuine with everything.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude. I just want to say you're doing a good job. Considering his temper, Jin would be stressed by now looking out for everyone and you being here is really a great help. Jin isn't really that good at multi-tasking." He smiled and Snow's face softened.
"More like he can multi-task but he easily gets lost on the way...like an old man." She commented and they were both laughing as they both looked at Jin who was scratching his head as he talked to someone on the phone.
"Anyway, I have here three songs that would fit with the scene but Jin is really picky about the background music so I prepared spare music if he ever scraps the first one." Jake handed her the headphone and hit the play button.
As the song played, Jake studied her face. Still an angelic face, he thought. Nothing really changed about her except that she couldn't remember him or is ignoring him, and she has a scar shaped like letter C beside her left ear.
His stomach churned at the flash of a memory he never wanted to revisit ever again.
She suddenly looked at him with a smile and he thought his heart melted for a moment there.
"Can you play the other song?" Snow requested and he did as she asked, even with the last song for the three choices. After the last song, she slowly removed the headphone and offered a shakehand. He took it willingly without even knowing what was happening.
"I believe you have a really great taste in music, Wang-PD. Jin-PD will go with the first one, I'm sure of it. Thanks for the time." She said and went off without waiting for his reply.
Maybe, he thought, he was really wrong about her pretending to not know him.
After seeing that scar near her ear, Jake decided to face the truth, something he never really wanted to do after all that happened in his life. He contacted one of Mark's friend, Youngjae, a private investigator, to find out what happened to Snow ten years ago.
