Two days later...

"How is she?" Rina asked Asher soon as she entered Snow's room.

Rina and Asher had been long time friends since their 15th age. Asher was on a holiday in South Korea when he met Rina. Since Asher was taken by their grandparents in America at such a young age, he didn't really know some places in their town and Rina was his lady luck.

They maintained their communication with each other that's why it was easy for Asher to find someone who can look after his sister while he fixes some problems in his company.

Rina was unaware of what really happened 10 years ago and Asher did not want to say anything unless he gets back to South Korea. That's why Rina did her best to help Snow gain her memory back seeing how it tormented her day by day.

"I think there's someone besides me who is blocking the media and all social platforms where the incident could be reported. I just hope this does not backfire on their work or else a lot of people will also be affected negatively." Asher sighed as he looked out the window beside Snow's bed.

"You really worry a lot, don't you?" Snow's faint voice made Asher stand up and Rina rushed to call for the doctor.

"How are you? Does it hurt anywhere? Do you need anything?" Snow just smiled at her worried brother.

The doctor came and checked Snow as he confirmed that she is out of the critical stage; however, she needed to still be careful when moving due to the gunshot on her left side near her abdomen.

When the doctor left, Snow gave Rina and Asher a questioning look. She heard them talking casually a while ago and she didn't want to miss anything.

"It's not what you think, Snow." Rina started and Asher held his sister's hand.

"She was the girl I've been talking about when you visited me in America. I contacted her when I found out that you were near her workplace. I'm sorry for not telling you sooner." Asher explained but Snow just gave them a smile.

"I understand. Unnie, can I talk to my brother privately?" Snow politely requested and Rina nodded as she exited her room.

"I'm really sorry, Snow. Had I known that it would lead this way, I would not have allowed you to return here. I would have just told you everything but I promised dad to protect you by hiding the truth. I know it was unfair for you but I did not want you to be in danger. I'm sorry." Asher's tears started to fall so Snow squeezed his hand holding hers.

"Oppa, it's okay. I understand mom and dad for what they have done. And I understand your struggle from keeping me the truth. I now understand and remember everything and I don't blame any of you. You love me, that's for sure and that's the reason why you helped me build a new life, detached from the painful events of the past. Please don't cry and don't ever say sorry again because I know in my heart that I never despised how you protected me. If anything, I am really thankful. Even now, I'm thankful that you're the very first person I saw when I woke up. While I was held captive in that building, I thought of not seeing you ever again. I was so afraid but I had to take courage so I can come out of it alive. I'm sorry if I almost didn't make it for the second time. I don't wnat you to go through the same pain that you, mom, and dad had been through ten years ago." Asher hushed his sister and wiped away her tears as he whispered how thankful he was that she is awake and that she remembers everything.

After their talk, Snow requested for her brother to bring him outside for a walk and breath of fresh air. Asher brought her to the hospital's garden and she said she wanted to be alone.

As she looked back on her life, Snow could not help but feel thankful for the third life given to her. Then she thought of Jake. She hasn't seen him after waking up and she wasn't able to ask about him after her heart to heart talk with her brother.
