Their third year in Junior High School...

Jake Wang transferred to Dream High International School after his mother's death. Even with his loss, he promised to have a happy life knowing that it was his mother's wish before she breathed her last.

After the greetings, his teacher asked him to get inside and introduce himself to the class.

"Good morning everyone! My name is Jake Wang and I hope we could all get along well with each other. I'm looking forward to making happy memories with you." He did his best to sound jolly and smiled at all his classmates.

Some of them started to murmur on their seats and soon as one classmate raised his hand to ask a question, their teacher waved his hand.

"I believe you can do the getting-to-know part later since we have a lot of months to still be together. Now Jake, please take the empty seat beside the class president." His teacher instructed but he could only look helplessly at his teacher, seeing that there are three empty seats at the right, middle, and left rows.

"Here, newbie!" The guy at the left side waved his hand and Jake started to walk towards him but some of them laughed.

"Stop fooling around, vice pres! Your seat is here, cutie!" The girl at the middle row towards the back interrupted and winked at him. Jake moved towards her but the teacher cleared his throat.

"Eric and Youngji, stop that. Class, you're being naughty again. Please, stop playing. We have lots of activities to do. Class President!" The teacher called out and the girl at the right row near the window at the back stretched both of her arms.

"Yes, Sir! Your seat is here, sir!" She said as if she was a soldier and everyone laughed at her silliness.

"Take that seat, Jake." The teacher said with a face palm.

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Class President." Jake said soon as he sat and smiled at the beauty in front of him.

"Oh, please. Don't address me that way. I'm Snow Kim. Anyway, I'm sorry. My classmates got so excited at pranking you since the news yesterday that we'll be having a transfer student who would be seated beside me. I just did that to make your first day fun. I hope you didn't mind." She apologized.

"No biggie." Jake replied and he saw her smile, it was mesmerizing, he thought.

"For today's activity, I want you to pair up with your seatmates." The teacher announced and everyone looked at their seatmates, some are happy and some are not.

"Since our topic focuses on budgeting, I want you to come up with a puppet show wherein the characters are using proper and effecient budgeting. Your show should only be 3 minutes long. Are we clear with that?" Everyone said yes and the teacher nodded.

"If you have any questions, feel free to raise your hand. Start brainstorming now." He said and the room became noisy, academically.

"So how do we do this?" Jake asked, knowing that he wasn't able to read up to that part of the lesson the night before.

"Since it would be a puppet show, we must come up with some characters and a storyline." Snow started and Jake nodded.

"I'm listening. I hope I'm not being a burden. I haven't read much of the lessons you've discussed up to this day, to be honest." He admitted and Snow just smiled at him.

"No problem. So I'm actually thinking and I would like to suggest, we could have a story where one character knows how to budget and the other doesn't so they kind of like have different ways of spending but they're friends. So the first one notices that the other encounters a lot of problem due to poor budgeting---

"And since they're friends, the first one would teach the other how to properly budget his/her money." Jake continued, grasping the story that Snow was suggesting and he actually approve of it.

"Exactly!" Snow clapped happily, seeing as to how their minds are connecting.

"I like the story. So how do we work on the characters?" Jake asked.

"Well, let's just have a male and a female character. You do the female and I do the male so there will be a twist."

"Okay. I got it. Shall we name our characters?" Jake suggested and Snow's eyes sparkled.

"Okay, sure. I'll call the male character Akie!"

"Why Akie?"

"It's from your name. I removed J and added I." She laughed at her statement, Jake laughed along.

"Then, I'll call the female character Wonnie. That's double N with I and E. Your name spelled backwards without S." He said and they once again laughed.

"I like the name." She said.
