Frosts beginings

Before Frost can finish her, Cassie Cage headbutts and sweep kicks Frost, knocking her out cold. When Frost awakens she's covered in bandages and is bruised. Before she can question where she is, the Thunder God Lord Raiden approaches her. "Frost of earthrealm, I approche yo-" Raiden is interrupted by Frost. "what do you want" she says with clear anger in her tone. "I've seen how you fight, and I know someone who can help you become more powerful, but it requires you to fight in a tournament and train in a decolate location." After Raiden informs Frost about this, she's clearly more invested in what he has to say.

Days later Kuai Liang, the youngest Sub-Zero and leader of the Japanese ninja clan the Lin Kuei, meditates in front of a buddist statue. In the middle of his meditating he hears footsteps in the snow, "Scuze' me" a voice calls out. Kuai Liang quickly sweep kicks his possible opponent and pins them down. "I barely touched ya!" the mysterious woman says. "Who are you?! what are you doing here?" Kuai Liang questions the blue haired woman in a stern voice. The woman scoffs, "Name's Frost, Raiden invited me to the tournament" Sub-Zero then let's his grip loosen looking confused. "Raiden? What Tournament?" Kuai Liang looks around to see more people, looking around the same age as Frost. Kuai Liang realizes what Raiden has burdened him with and curses.

A week later in the Lin Kuei temple located in Artika, Frost and many other Lin Kuei students are training. Most students resent Frost because she didn't have to go through the years or training and hardship they did due to having Cryomancer powers like Sub-Zero. They view her as someone beneath them, just a boxer who got lucky who didn't earn her place, and because of this when sparring comes, the stronger Lin Kuei students pick her to "put her in her place". "Time for sparring! Everyone go pick a sparring partner" Kuai Liang shouts. Nite Ki, the 'largest' guy there looks at Frost, grinning. He approaches her getting ready to spar. Frost smirks at Nite "Aren't you a little big to be a ninja" she says picking on him. The joke at Nite's expense angers the Lin Kuei student. He screams charging at Frost, she quickly evades him, she sweep kicks him knocking him to the ground in one fell swoop. Everyone else stops and stares at Frost as she's on top of Nite. Frost looks around at everyone, and she sees fear in their eyes. Not knowing what's wrong. she tightens her hands getting ready to get up, then she feels something in her right hand. She looks at her hand and sees an ice dagger, she looks back down at Nite Ki she sees fear in his eyes, the fear of death. Now knowing what she's done, she let's go of the dagger but before it can hit the ground it disappears. Frost gets up and prepares to leave to the dining hall, wanting to be alone, but Kuai Liang calls for break. Frost sits in the dining hall, not a single person sitting anywhere near her until the closest person she could call a friend, Jah Ka, sits next to her. "Heard what happened in sparring today," Jah informs Frost. Frost doesn't make eye contact with them "I don't want to talk about it," she mumbled. Jah and Frost sit in silence until Nite Ki and three of his goons show up.

A bit later Kuai Liang meditates in his chamber peacefully, until Vic-Fri, one of his students, barges in. "Grandmaster! There's a fight going on in the dining hall!" Vic-Fri tells him, huffing and puffing and out of breath. Kuai Liang sighs and stands up "I'll be right there," he groans.

Frost is held by the throat being lifted off the ground just the slightest bit getting beaten by Nite. Frost freezes the blood coming from her mouth and face. As it falls she grabs the small shards of bloodied ice and slashes Nite across the chest with it, Nite drops her on the ground. The doors of the dining hall slam open all eyes on the doorway. "FROST!" Kuai Liang shouts echoing across the Hall. The hall is silent, "Get Nite medical help." Kuai Liang orders his students, he walks towards Frost looking her in the eye. Frost has never seen such anger in her Grandmaster's eyes. "Meet me in my quarters, now," he demanded. Kuai Liang broke eye contact with Frost and went to help tend Nite's wounds.

After minutes of waiting, Kuai Liang finally arrived to meet Frost, Kuai Liang has noticeably cooled off. Kuai Liang sits down in front of a small table, Frost follows. Kuai Liang finally breaks the silence by speaking first "You're lucky you didn't kill him." Frost looks at him confused "All I did was cut him a bit, not a big deal," she remarked. "You still have much to learn Frost" Kuai Liang added, but before Frost could speak Kuai Liang began to talk again. "Today I will be meeting with the leader of another clan" he informs Frost and again before she could ask questions he begins to speak again, she's visibly annoyed "Now I do not want you to cause any trouble, you are dismissed." Frost stands up and bows and begins to head to her quarters, seeing more students staring at her along the way.

Frost is about to reach her quarters when she sees him, Scorpion leader of the Lin Kuei's rival clan the Shirai Ryu. When Frost first arrived at the Lin Kuei she learned of it's enemies, getting knowledge of who to take down if she saw during her time in the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu was the most dangerous of them. "SHIRAI RYU DOG!" she shouted running towards Scorpion but before Scorpion can even react a young man dressed in silver and black with a vibrant yellow scarf, the Shirai Ryu's colours and a similar mask to Scorpions but in a gunmetal grey, jumps on her, holding a knife to her throat. Kuai Liang heard the commotion and ran immediately "Frost stand down!" he repeated. "Takeda" Scorpion commanded , the young boy looks at Scorpion and the Shirai Ryu leader nods, letting go of Frost. Kuai Liang grabs a hold of Frost "Frost, what did I say about causing trouble" he snaps at her. "I'm sorry Grandmaster but this is our enemy!" she replied. Kuai Liang let's go of her and reassures her "Not anymore". Kuai Liang turns to Scorpion "I'm sorry Hanzo for my mentee's behavior," Kuai Liang bows and Scorpion does the same "Do not worry Sub-Zero, all is forgiven" he responded. Frost scoffs at her master even angrier than before and finally returns to her quarters where she removes her blue tunic leaving her in the black Lin Kuei uniform and sits on her bed and begins writing in her journal that each Lin Kuei member must write in.
