| Annabeth Chase |

My head ached, and my body felt almost numb. I wished I'd never come to this school. I wished I'd never been so naive.

I lay curled up in my duvet, Bastille playing softly in the background. My laptop sat on my knee, as I attempted to complete my History essay, even in my state.

Knock, knock, came someone outside my door.

"Come in," I called.

Piper poked her head. "Have you seen Leo?" she said.

"No, why?" I asked.

"Oh, it's probably nothing. Him and Percy aren't home yet and it's nearly 7."

"Oh."

"You okay?" she asked, concerned.

"Fine," I lied, forcing a smile.

"Okay, you want me to make you some pasta?"

"Oh Gods, yes."

Piper laughed and left, closing the door. Where were Percy and Leo? What could they possibly be doing?

I decided that sleep was the best remedy for my ache, and eventually my eyelids closed and I drifted into sleep.

At some point, I felt somebody's hand on my shoulder, shaking me lightly. My eyes adjusted to the light and met with a pair of amazing green ones. Percy smiled at me weakly, and I felt the colour drain from my face.

"Hey," he whispered. I said nothing.

"Look, I know you might hate me right now, and I could understand why. But Annabeth, I promise you, I never kissed Bridgette. And I can prove it."

He opened my laptop back up, and plugged in a memory stick, and opened up one of two files on it. A video played, a video from a security camera of what I saw on that corridor. I watched attentively, and nearly fainted when I saw the guy I thought was Percy turned around and took off a wig. Max.

"P-Percy-"

"Wait, one more." he clicked on the other file, and it was a video of another corridor. Confused, I stared at the screen, until I noticed Percy walk across the screen.

"That was me, on that corridor, at the time you saw 'me'." he closed the laptop silently.

"Percy," I choked out, crying now. "I'm s-sorry, I was reckless and upset and jumped to conclusions and hurt and-"

Percy pulled me into a hug, wrapping his arms around me and bringing me into him. His hand ran up and down my back soothing me.

"It's okay. I don't blame you, I could never, it's not your fault." He planted a kiss on my forehead, and followed it up with one of my cheek, then my chin, then my neck, sending a tingling sensation all over my body.

"I love you," I muttered. "I love you, I love you."

"I love you too, Annabeth. Always." Percy's lips met mine in familiar harmony. I only then realized how much I'd missed his touch, his presence; how much I'd missed Percy. His hands met with my hips, his lips still against mine. One of his hands brushed against my face, his thumb rubbing my chin softly.

"I will always love you." he said every word between a kiss, smiling widely.

"You're such a dork," I couldn't help but giggle, and he pulled me down to lie next to him on the bed.

He stared at me silently, a comfortable silence, his hand in mine.

"Percy," I began. "I might be getting expelled from Goode."

His eyes widened. "What?" He spluttered.

"Y-yeah, they caught someone on camera burning down a shed on school property, and they think it was me."

"Was it?"

"Zeus, no! I've been framed, and if I can't find the real culprit by the end of the week, prom, I'll be expelled. And taken back to camp. And separated from you." I buried my head in his chest, almost crying again.

"Annabeth, I'll go wherever you go. But I promise we'll find the real culprit. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Bridgette." he sighed, annoyed and exasperated at the thought of her.

"Thank you, Percy. Now, I can smell Piper's pasta, and I'm so hungry."
