I return to a familiar place

A new camper had decided to take me on. He was about 14, tall and quite strong. He'd obviously been training hard since he got here, as his tactics were good. I had no idea who he was, or who was his parent, but during a heated sword fight there's not much time for questions. 

⠀"Percy!" Annabeth called as she ran towards me, her blonde hair billowing behind her. "Chiron has called a meeting, come on!"  

⠀Quickly, I tried a disarming manoeuvre, and his sword clattered out of his hands. He forced a smile and said "Good show." Before moving onto another opponent. 

⠀"Come on!" Annabeth repeated, frustrated. 

⠀"I was kind of busy!"  

⠀"Seriously, Seaweed Brain. I could have beaten that kid quicker than you could have picked up your sword." She smiled with a wink before seizing my wrist and dragging me up to The Big House.

We ran through the door into the silence. Chiron, Mr D, Clarisse La Rue and Nico di Angelo were sitting around the table. But there were 5 empty seats.

⠀"Please, sit." Chiron gestured towards a chair and I took a seat next to Annabeth. I noticed, as usual, Clarisse eyeing me from across the room like dead meat. "Welcome," Greeted Chiron.  

⠀"Are we expecting anyone else?" I asked, staring at the 3 empty seats. 

⠀"Yes, the other 3 of the prophecy." 

⠀"Three? But there's-" 

⠀"Miss Levesque and Mr Zhang have returned home to Camp Jupiter. So Miss La Rue and Mr di Angelo are...er...standing in." Drawled Mr D. 

⠀"Standing in for what?" Asked Annabeth. 

⠀"After long thought, Mr D and I have a solution to where you 7 will go after camp." Explained Chiron.  

⠀"But me and Clarisse are year rounders!" Argued Annabeth. Suddenly, Leo Valdez burst in, his clothes smoking.

⠀Behind him came Piper McLean and Jason Grace, looking dazed. "Sorry we're late," panted Leo. "They were helping in me with bunker 9." 

⠀"Very well, we were just starting." Said Chiron, gesturing to the three empty seats.  

⠀"Hello," sighed Piper tiredly. 

⠀"Yeah, hi." Said Jason. 

⠀"As I was saying," Mr D began. "Miss Levesque and Mr Zhang have returned home to Camp Jupiter. Mr di Angelo and Miss La Rue are here instead." 

⠀"Cool. Okay, that's cool." We were all ADHD but Leo was seriously hyperactive. 

⠀"Now, our plans for your time after camp." Chiron restarted. "Myself and Mr D have decided to send you to High School. Specifically Goode High School. Percy's High School."

⠀Everyone sat shocked. I just let it sink in. "We're going to Goode?" 

⠀"Yes." Nodded Chiron. 

⠀"Why?!" An outraged Clarisse shouted. 

⠀"Because while defeating Gaea you missed out on a lot of your life. High School is a chance to get it back." Chiron explained. 

⠀"But it's not safe!" Clarisse continued to argue. Chiron sighed as if he expected this. 

⠀"With the help of the gods, we have put a serious amount of protection on the school. Oh, and that reminds me! Both mortal and godly parents have agreed to this." Well I guess that's case closed then.  

⠀"Chiron, where will we stay?" Asked Piper. He smiled knowingly and rested his hands on the table. 

⠀"Now that, Miss McLean, is a surprise."
