~chapter five~

Justin ran down the hall like the devil himself was chasing him. When he finally got to the white double doors he barged in to find his mother near the window on the phone and his father on the bed with a book on his lap.
“She figured it out” he mumbled before he turned and made his way back to where he came from. He could hear his parents call after him but his main focus was to get back to the doctor.
When he finally got to the room he was in earlier that morning he was surprised to find the doctor unplugging him from the many machines she had him on.
“What in the hell are you doing?” he barked surprised.
“He doesn’t need it. He’s breathing” she replied turning of the next machine. Justin looked to see that she was right.
“Don’t just stand there like an idiot come and help me” she said looking at him annoyed. By the time Justin’s parents got there they had him unhooked from everything.
“Can someone explain to me what’s going on?” Justin’s mother demanded confused to see all the machines attached to the patient turned off. But no one replied.
“Paige?” he called using her Alpha voice
“Alpha this…boy he isn’t human.” The doctor said walking around the bed he laid on and stood in front of the Alpha and Luna.
“Explain yourself” Justin’s father asked softly
“Alpha…” the doctor started again
“Careful!” this time her voice was more of a growl
“Your Luna is addressing you and you will answer to him accordingly” the Alpha warned. The room went cold with her preens. The doctor bared her neck in submission.
“I apologies Alpha” she replied. Seeing the fact that the doctor still refused to speak to her husband the Alpha’s eyes turned bloody red and she took a threatening step forward but her husband quickly grabbed her wrist and released his pheromones to calm her. Which worked immediately, making her eyes turn back to normal and her pheromones clear out.
“Apologies to your Luna” she said in a low but firm voice
“Apologies…Luna” the doctor forced out.
“What is it you found?” the Alpha asked after a second
“I was going through the old books in the library after seeing his supernatural healing and I think I’ve found out what he is” she said and went to the corner of the room near the door where she had left all the books she was carrying that morning. She came back towards the couple with a big old dusty book with leather bindings open in her hands.
“it says here that there was once a creature of were kind that was so powerful it was hunted to extinction but its genes were said to lay dormant till the right host, the right vessel was found I think this…boy is the vessel the dormant gene was activated in” she explained
“What is this gene of?” Justin asked. The doctor closed the book suddenly and turned to face him.
“The dormant gene that now is born in this vessel is of the most ruthless of all were kind…it is of the apex predator”
