Justin sat on the floor of the guest bed room where there new mystery case laid. He could hear his parents and the pack doctor talking outside the hall but tried his best not to listen in into the conversation. He tried to preoccupied himself with the old books lying around him but none of them made sense. One book called the apex predator a demon while another called it a protector of the were species. Closing the two books in front of him he picked up a smaller one when he suddenly felt a cold chill in the room. A second later the windows started banging open and close and the light started flickering on and off.
Justin sat up and looked around. Confused as he was he was taught to be alert in this kind of situations. He tried opening the door but it seemed to have been locked and when he tried the key it didn’t work. He heard movement and turning around to see the guy who has been unconscious for days sitting up. what creped Justin out what he face that the guy’s eyes were full black and that they seemed to be looking straight at him.
Justin took a cautionary step forward and in that instant the chaos in the room grew making Justin take another step backward. All of a sudden everything stopped and Justin was flinged into the other side of the room.

When Justin came to he was in his room and his father was talking with the pack doctor at the foot of the bed. When then noticed that he was up his father came to sit next to him on the bed.
“How are you feeling son?” his father asked
“What happened?” Justin asked back
“We came into the room to find you on the floor and the room trashed” his father explained
“Can you tell us what happened?” the pack doctor asked. Justin sat up and looked from his worried father to the egger looking doctor and sighed
“I was reading the books you left behind when things started going crazy. The light kept turning on and off and the window kept banging. The next thing I know the guy was sitting up and looking at me with black eyes” Justin explained
“Black eyes?” the doctor asked
“Yeah, full black” Justin said and got out of bed only to realize he was in his boxers.
“I don’t want to know” he said when his father was about to explain. Grabbing a pair of pants from one of his drawers he put them on and turned to leave the room when they stopped him.
“You just woke up, you should be resting not running around right now” the doctor said
“I’m fine” he replied only to be stopped again by his father. His father looked at him with worried and calculating eyes.
“Your mother wants to see you” he spoke before letting him pass
“Why did you let him leave?” he heard the pack doctor ask his father the second he made it out the door and closed it
“You heard him, he’s fine” his father replied
“He may be hallucinating” she said sounding angrier by the second
“And how do you figure that?” his father asked sounding as calm as ever
“He said he saw the vessel sitting up with black eyes. The vessel was unconscious when we came in and there is nowhere in out books that say the apex predator has black eyes” the doctor explained
“It seems like you have more research to do. I’ll let you be” his father spoke and Justin hurriedly headed to his mother’s office not to be caught by his father who was leaving his room.
