Janelle POV...
I walk with dad and Nissa to the warehouse she says they are keeping kids. The door being unlocked.
Me:I have a feeling they aren't here anymore. The door is unlocked...
Nissa:They were just here...
We make it to the large space and see... Nothing. Welp that sucks.
Nissa:I swear to God they were just here.
Dad:It seems like heavy objects were pushed to that door. Someone knew you were here.
Me:Did you check for cameras?
Nissa:I didn't see any.
That is not the same as checking for them sis. I hear a metallic clink and turn around.
Me:Dad, Nissa!
Dad turns and creates a force field. We get behind him and I focus on the dynamics of the gun bullets, sparks, fire. Atoms.
I look up and the gun implodes the guy falling back either burnt to a crisp or passed out. More comes and dad nods to Nissa. She runs out of the force field and jumps throwing the men high into the air. More come and the first thing I do is blow their guns up and force their nervous system to shut down.
Dad:What did you do?
Me:If it has a brain waves or electricity I can control it.
Dad:Are they dead?
Me:No, just paralyzed until further notice. Let's go!
An alarm starts and we run Nissa goes straight through the wall and I follow.
Me:Strong body ass. *laughs*
Nissa:*laughs* Whatever mega mind.
Small time Skip...
We sit with dad he takes a deep breath and sighs.
Dad:Thirty years ago... Gambi worked for a clandestine government agency called the ASA.
Nissa:Hmm, with that secret room of his it had to be something like that.
Dad:Yeah.
Me:But, he's not working with them now, right? That's all that matters.
Dad:I mean I guess and after all the political uprisings around the country, the ASA put Gambi here to report on their illegal human experiments that were supposed to make black folks in neighborhoods like Freeland docile so they could control them. Seriously, they put something in the water supply. And then in the vaccines.
Me:Then called us crazy.
Nissa:Paranoid.
Dad:But the vaccines inadvertently gave a few kids powers. Gambi reported kids who displayed abilities and those kids were kidnapped.
Nissa:I know he told me, and he also told me that he was extremely naive. He thought he was being a good Soilder, but when he realized what was actually happening, he leveraged his knowledge of the program to make them stop.
I see dad's temper rise. Oh boy.
Dad:So that makes everything he did okay?
Me:No, but if you're lead to believe something, conditioned or just a simple belief, you'll follow it until you wake up... Or it kills you. Gambi woke up dad, you woke him up. He could have easily given you up like the others but he didn't.
