Yen's POV
The drive was fun, but traffic was just hell. LA Traffic, gotta say, one of the worst there is. It even came to the point that I started talking to the driver. I asked him about his day and stuff. He was nice and he made the trip more bearable.
I don't get to experience traffic in New York, mainly because I ride the train then walk a lot, or if I do feel a little lazy I would hail a taxi and just get stuck on my phone. In LA, everyone has cars, there's barely any public transportations. There are busses, taxis but basically the whole state was taken over by cars.
After a 45 minute drive, I paid the driver and exited his car. In front of me was a tall black building with the writing "Mythical Entertainment" on top. I got in the building and sat in the lobby. The guy from the front desk caught my attention. I stood up and walked to the booth. "Hi, my name is Yen Easton and I'm here for Nancy, she's working for Smosh." I smiled. The attendant smiled and picked up a phone, reporting that a Ms. Yen Easton is here for Nancy. He nodded and got a book. "Please log in your name and surrender an Identification card." He said as I quickly obliged.
I wrote my name and surrendered one of my IDs. He gave me a visitor's pass and instructed me the whereabouts of the office. I made my way to the elevator and pressed up. Numbers descended from the indicator and in a few seconds I am met with the letter 'G'. I got in the elevator and pressed number 4. The elevator was nice, it had great music and actually smells pretty nice and refreshing.
After a few moments, the digital number '4' appeared and I took a deep breath. This is it. The door opened and I was met with a very colorful walkway. It was a hallway and at the end there was another hall to the left. I walked in and prepped myself for what's about to appear. I fixed my hair, my dress even made sure I won't make a fool of myself.
I'm getting near the turn and I stopped before becoming visible to everyone's sight. I can clearly hear the few conversations happening. I am deathly nervous. I slouched my back on the wall, trying to give myself a little pep talk.
Okay Yen, you can do this. Just say Hi and state your reasoning for being there. Don't talk much, only when you're asked 'cause you might end up scaring them off.
I brushed the nervousness and made my way in the hall. I see a huge white room with tons of props hung all across the room. The word SMOSH in a very funky font is the first thing I noticed. It's written in the huge wall. I then looked lower to see some people looking at me. I immediately went red and gulped. Don't fuck this up, Yen.
I smiled and entered the room. The first to approach me was Tommy. "Hi, I'm Tommy. Can I help you?" He asked. I smiled at him and nodded. " Yes, I'm Yen. I'm here for Nancy. She said I could come by the office anytime so hi, I'm here." I said, slightly nervous. His eyes widen.
"Oh, you're Yen. Oh my God you're definitely cute. Nancy's not here at the moment but you can chill by the lobby in a while." He said. I nodded and made my way to the lobby but before arriving to the next venue I quickly asked, "Hey, May I go to the bathroom?" I said. " Sure, down the hall then turn right." He said. "I'm actually gonna head out in a while I'm still finishing something. Nice to meet you Yen." He added before storming off when I said "Nice to meet you too."
I made my way to the bathroom and entered. I got inside a cubicle and sat for a while. I'm so nervous still. I know I already met Shayne and Damien and have become great acquaintances with them, but they're still people I look up to, I can't help but fangirl on the inside. I recomposed myself and got out of the cubicle where I met Courtney. We locked eyes for a while and a little confusion hinted her face. "I'm sorry, Hi. I'm Yen, Nancy's friend, nice to meet you." I introduced.
