Despite knowing it was going to hurt him, Hoseok knew he had to tell Taehyung the truth.

They sat across from each other on Hoseok's hotel bed in silence, both having showered and then convened within the rapper's hotel room. Neither had said a word since the elder let the other through his door. Hoseok decided to break the silence.

"Taehyungie... What I have to say isn't going to be easy. I really didn't want to say anything, but I feel like it'll be better for the whole band if I can just get this off my chest and then get over it."The elder began to ramble, "I mean I shouldn't have even entertained the idea, like - who in their right mind would ever even see me in such a light, have you met me? God I'm so stupid-"

"Hyung!"

Hoseok looked up at Taehyung, his words falling short at the concerned look etched in the other's face. Unable to say anything more, Hoseok buried his face in his hands.

"I'm sorry, I know I'm rambling."

Taehyung reached forward and pulled the elder's hands towards him and held them in his own as he spoke.

"Hoseokkie-hyung." He rubbed comforting circled into the other's palms. "Whatever it is that you have to say, my ears are open. Nothing will change, okay? I just want to make sure you're alright."

Hoseok highly doubted his words but nodded anyway.

"So, the reason I've been feeling this way. Um." Hoseok coughed lightly, gathering his strength."The reason I've been acting strangely is because I had my heart broken."

The younger's eyes widened significantly and his hands tightened on the other's a fraction.

"Hyung, I had no idea you were in a relationship." He had to say he was hurt by the knowledge of this - his Hoseokkie hadn't even told him he was seeing anyone. A cold feeling washed over Taehyung as he thought of all the times they slept in the same bed together, cuddled up pleasantly.Of all the times he had showered the elder with his affection. He felt so stupid - how could he not have seen this. He felt guilty.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry. I should've known! I must have been making both you and your uh, person so uncomfortable. Please don't tell me they left you because of me, I feel like such a home wrecker!" The younger began to tear up uncontrollably, guilt settling heavily in his heart.

"Taetae no! Taehyungie listen!" The elder scooted closer and held the other's face between his thin fingers, forcing eye contact. "I wasn't in a relationship with anyone - I haven't been in such a longtime..." Hoseok blushed under the younger's intense gaze, "I'm honestly flattered that you think someone would see me in such a way, but I don't think that will happen." He laughed to break the tension, but it came out too forced - too dry, and just made him even more uncomfortable. He lowered his hand from the Taehyung's face and placed them back in his own lap.

"Hobi-hyung, how could you say that!" Taehyung looked frustrated now, but on the inside he was eternally grateful that his hyung hadn't been snatched away from him by someone else.

"Hyung, you are so beautiful - inside and out. You have a personality that rockets through others, filling them with love and hope. Your smile could light this planet for thousands of years and then some! You're the most magnificent person I have ever met, and hearing you say such things about yourself makes me want to write books about how much you've done for me and for others.Because.." He takes a deep breath to steady himself, taking a chance that maybe his hyung would read between the lines; "Because then maybe then you'd be able to see what everyone else does - a man that has a great and positive impact on everyone he meets. A man whose absence would change the world entirely because his influence is that magnificent. A man who means the world tome." Taehyung grabbed the other's hand in his own again, determination written across his face.
