Hoseok woke the next morning very slowly, for his head was clouded with exhaustion. Yet.. when came to consciousness, he felt warm. Safe. He hadn't felt like this in what had seemed forever. He began to stretch his limbs, one by one, but stiffened when he finally felt the human snuggled up behind him.
"Ugh.. Jungkook, I'm very thankful you carried my sorry ass to bed, and I know you're worried for me, but you don't have to coddle me. I'm an adult, I'll stop being such a crybaby eventually." The arms around his waist only pulled him closer, a nose gently pressing to the back of Hoseok's neck as they breathed in.
"Jungkook, I'm serious. Besides, I have to pee - please let go." Hoseok sighed heavily, finally opening his eyes to stare at the wall next to his bed and hoping he'd be released soon by their strong maknae.
"Well I guess if duty calls, you must go."
The deep timbre of the voice right next to his ear made the elder jump, frantically turning himself around to stare at the person who most certainly was not Jungkook invading his bed.
"T-T-Taehyung... What are you..?" He didn't bother to finish his sentence, remembering what the other had said the night before. "Oh, uh. Right, not about the job." Taehyung winced, but Hoseok didn't catch it. "Never mind then."
Taehyung reached out and placed his hand on Hoseok's hip, making the brunet snap his gaze towards the younger's gaze.
"Hyung. Let's go pee, and then we'll talk."
Hoseok stopped the other before he could sit up in the bed, "Taehyung, you don't have to force yourself. I know I upset you, and I'm paying for that now. Please don't put yourself in an uncomfortable situation just to make me feel better." Hoseok looked away and down to his hands, "I don't deserve your kindness anyway."
Taehyung felt a pang of guilt in his chest. Hoseok really was eating away at himself this entire time, probably had been long before that. The vocalist was still hurt by Hoseok's words from the week before, but Jungkook was right. Hoseok doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and he would never want to hurt anyone, intentionally or not. He wanted to know - had to know - if what his hyung had said was really what was really on his mind, or if he was just using reputation and excuses to cover up his true thoughts. The younger also wanted to make sure Hoseok wouldn't leave the band - leave him. He couldn't imagine a life without his Hoseokkie.
"It's okay hyung. I'm not going to lie and say I've gotten over what you said but - but I'm not mad anymore. I realized that I never let you explain, which was stubborn of me because I'm sure things would've have been a lot different had I listened to your full reasonings." The younger smiled softly, "I also realized that you're - well, you. You're still kind, loving, and selfless Hoseokkiehyung - you never meant me any harm." Tae fully sat up now and made his way to the door. "Now, let's uhh - lets go use the restroom and freshen up and let's talk. I promise I'll listen to the whole thing this time."
