Taehyung considers himself the luckiest man in the world for several reasons; for his success, for his friends and family, and even for having the best doggie in the world.
But as he lingers in the shower, warm water beating against his shoulders, he knows that his absolute favorite reason is standing right in front of him. While Taehyung gazes sleepily at Hoseok - whose smile graces his perfect heart-shaped lips as his arms stretched to lather shampoo into the younger's hair - he knows the human wrapped in his arms as they bathe together keeps giving him new reasons every day.
Moments like the one they're currently basking in - showering in between kisses and love-filled looks - just add to the list of favorites. Especially with the new experiences they share - such as how it feels to explore another person's body, mind and soul, and in turn bare themselves to someone else completely unhindered for the very first time - both men know there's so much in their lives to be thankful for.
Hoseok hums softly as they switch spots in the shower, stealing a quick kiss as they pass. The look of unadulterated love on Taehyung's face - his Taehyung, he reminded himself - made his heart pull pleasantly. As the elder closes his eyes, still humming lightly as warm water trickled down to his feet and an even warmer body pressed against his own in a new and comforting way, he realized something he hadn't before.
Finally.
Finally, as Taehyung burns his fears and anxiety away with kisses, his giggles, his touch - the voice in Hoseok's mind begins a backseat.
For now, at least - as Taehyung lightly scrubs the suds from his hair, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead and pulling away with a love-sick smile - he basks in the beautiful peace the younger brings him.
