Though he felt truly awful about it, Hoseok didn't attend the concert the next evening. The dancer had never let his emotions get in the way of his work - his passion - but he hadn't gotten any sleep the night before and it showed. Namjoon and the upper staff insisted he stay in his room and rest.
"Rest." Hoseok laughed humorlessly. "That's the last thing I need." He stayed in his room nonetheless and eventually, after having cried himself stupid the night before - and after hearing he wasn't able to perform, actually cried and cried until no more tears came out - he fell asleep.
When he arose from his fitful slumber it was dark outside of his room's window and his stomach was growling painfully.
Serves you right, hurting Taehyung like that.
This time he one hundred percent agreed with the voice in his head, not in the mood to put up a fight with himself. He rolled over to his other side, eyeing the clock. The concert had started an hour before. As he stared blankly, he played though the events of the night before.
"You're the disgusting one. Not me. I'm proud of who I am."
Hoseok sighed. "I know, Taehyungie, I know." He closed his eyes.
"You could have said you didn't like my affections, or didn't like me period but- But your reputation? I didn't know you were so shallow."
"I'm so, so, so sorry." The brunette began to cry once more in to the cold, empty silence surrounding him.
