Bio: Leader of Team RWBY and youngest to enter Beacon Academy, Ruby's first time encountering Pokémon was when Cynthia sent out Spiritomb to attack Torchwick's gang of thugs after Ruby sent one of them crashing into an Ice Cream Bar. Afterwards, she and the Sinnoh Champion started to become friends and even introduced her to her ace Pokémon, Garchomp. After that, Ruby was given a chance to go to Beacon Academy things to Ozpin, the academy's headmaster.
Ruby's first partner Pokémon was Zorua. They met when during the Initiation Process of Beacon when Weiss left Ruby alone in the Emerald Forest before coming back. Zorua helped the two soon-to-be students fight off a pack of Beowolves, only to be injured during the battle. Zorua was almost about to be Grimm chow Before Cynthia's Lucario stepped in and defeated them all.
After Initiation, Ruby was named Team leader of Team RWBY. Her team and her new friends of Team JNPR meet up with Cynthia as she begins to tell the existence of Pokémon. After everyone else left for the night, Ruby and Zorua stayed behind, with the former thanking her for helping Zorua. Cynthia accepts the gratitude and goes on to tell her that she needed to trust her Pokémon as much as her Pokémon trusted in her. She proceeds to tell Zorua to promise to take care of her with the Tricky Fox Pokémon nodding in reply.
