STEVEN STONE

Bio: Steven Diago Stone is a skilled Trainer who specializes in Steel-type Pokémon. He is the Champion of the Hoenn region's Pokémon League with his ace Pokémon, Metagross. A collector of rare stones, Steven is the son of the president of the Devon Corporation, Joseph Stone, and makes his home in Mossdeep City.

Steven Stone enjoys collecting various rocks and stones around the world. He is very humble and down-to-earth despite his extraordinary Pokémon battling skills. He does not like to brag and is generally a quiet and solitary person. Steven is also wise, knowledgeable, and very kind and generous.

Steven had encountered both Team Magma and Aqua, two evil organizations that planned to reform the world in their ideal image by taking control of Groudon and Kyogre. He and another Champion, Lance, battled against both evil leaders, Archie of Aqua and Maxie of Magma before they. They managed to defeat both leaders and freed both Legendary Pokémon before they could fight.

Steven was challenged by Gym Leader Wallace, who managed to beat him and take the title of Champion. After his loss, Steven spent most of his time researching many stones and helping from time to time at his father's company. However Archie and Maxie attempted to control Groudon and Kyogre once again, this time succeeding. Both Legendary Pokémon battled against each other until a third contender appeared from the sky, Rayquaza. Rayquaza ceased the fighting and store the natural balance of the world.

Years later, Steven came across the secrets of Mega Evolution from Professor Sycamore and Champion of Kalos, Diantha. They revealed to him that his Metagross can get even stronger through the power of Metagrossite, the mega stone needed to mega evolve Metagross.

After training his Metagross to use Mega Evolution, he returned to Hoenn and challenged the Pokémon League. Upon reaching Wallace it was down to Stevens Metagross and Wallace's Milotic. Steven Mega Evolved his Metagross and defeated Wallace with ease.

After becoming Champion of Hoenn again, Steven Steven traveled the Hoenn Region and met two trainers, Mairin and Alain, with the latter challenging Steven to a battle, after seeing the Mega Stickpin. Steven sent his shiny Metagross and Mega Evolved it to battle Alain's Mega Charizard.

During the heated battle, Lysandre sent Pyroar, who used Flamethrower to stop the battle. Lysandre came and introduced himself to Mairin and Steven, for Alain was working for him. Lysandre came to discuss with Steven about an ancient slab, which he and Steven had parts of, for the latter believed the slab to be connected to Mega Stones.

Steven and Lysandre brought the parts together and the group was taken to a temple in the sky, where they saw the Giant Rock. However, a Rayquaza appeared and Mega Evolved, so Steven, along with Alain, sent Metagross and Charizard to stop Rayquaza. Mega Rayquaza attacked the ruins and the Giant Rock disappeared. However, Lysandre noticed the Giant Rock energy's source being near Rustboro City, so Steven went with Alain and Mairin to that city.

After coming to Rustboro City, Steven went to prepare the helicopter, while Alain left Mairin since he did not want to see her getting in danger. Alain claimed Mairin is just a burden to him, but Steven knew well that was not the truth. Alain and Steven went to the Giant Rock and found Groudon, who was going to the Giant Rock energy's source. There, they also encountered Kyogre, who, along with Groudon, went under Primal Reversion and started attacking each other.

Since time was needed for the Giant Rock to appear, Alain sent Charizard and Steven his Metagross and they both Mega Evolved them; Alain fought Primal Groudon and Steven battled Primal Kyogre. However, in the battle, Alain's Charizard got hit by Primal Groudon's Precipice Blades. Alain jumped to save Charizard but got knocked out by Primal Groudon's Eruption. Mairin, who snuck onboard the helicopter, went to take Alain and Charizard to a safe place, while Steven had Metagross protect them.
