Cinder's group plotted an attack on Amber, the current Fall Maiden, in an attempt to steal her power. After a fierce and protracted battle, Amber is defeated. Cinder then begins using a mysterious glove to steal Amber's Maiden powers but is interrupted by the arrival of the mysterious woman Cynthia, and the Legendary Pokémon of Space, Palkia. This interuption severs the connection between Amber and Cinder before Cinder is able to steal all of Amber's power. Angered, she ordered Mercury and Emerald to check out the crash site.
Seeing Cynthia able to control the Legendary Pokémon, she orders Mercury and Emerald to kill her. Cynthia, who had been checking on Amber to see if she was alive, had seen the attack coming and dodged Mercury's attack.
She summons her ace Pokémon, Garchomp, to drive the assailants away with Flamethrower and Earthquake. Hearing the sound and feeling the heat of Garchomp's attack, Cinder watched the battle unfold and saw how easily defeated they were against the Shark Dragon. Seeing that they wasted too much time, Cinder and her colleagues made a quick retreat.
Cinder was seen again piloting the Bullhead that served as Roman's getaway vehicle following the attempted robbery of the Dust shop, From Dust Till Dawn. Shortly after Roman gets onto the ship to escape Ruby Rose and Cynthia with her Garchomp, Glynda Goodwitch appears. Roman tells Cinder that a Huntress has appeared and Cinder steps out of the pilot's chair to confront Glynda in battle. However, Garchomp was the one who attatcked them first.
Cinder uses the Dust embedded in her dress to cause a series of fiery explosions all around Garchomp, stopping her attack on the Bullhead. However, Garchomp counters by using Dragon Rush to hit the Bullhead, which was able to withstand the hit. Cinder However, Cinder deflects the attack with several blasts before Glynda instead attacks the ship.
Cinder got knocked around but unleashes a large blast that turns all the debris to ash. Ruby uses Crescent Rose to fire at Cinder, but Cinder easily deflects the attacks. Cinder then creates a group of explosions under Ruby, Cynthia, and Glynda, with the Sinnoh Champion having Garchomp save them while jumping for cover, giving her and Roman time to escape.
Sometime during those few months that passed she ran into the Pokémon calledSalazlle.
She appears with Mercury, with a Hitmonlee, and Emerald, with a Sneasel, to reprimand Roman for his recent failure at the docks. After he complains about having to work with the "mutts" from the White Fang, their newest partner, Giovanni of Team Rocket, tells him to continue working with them and states that he and Cinder's associates have big plans for him.
