Bio: A happy-go-lucky, bubbly and playful young girl, Nora is mainly characterized by her boundless enthusiasm. However, she didn't always act that way.
When she was a child, Nora turned up in a village, Kuroyuri, as a homeless orphan who had to scavenge for food. Sometime later, she met Lie Ren when she was being bullied by a group of boys who did not recognize her but could tell she was poor and wearing strange clothes.
As Kuroyuri was attacked by Grimm, Ren saved her with the help of his newly acquired Semblance, Tranquility. Ren gave Nora a wooden mallet he found on the ground as a way to make Nora feel safer. Promising to protect each other, the two have become inseparable ever since.
Years later, once the two had honed and mastered their skills, both Nora and Ren applied to Beacon Academy and were accepted together. During Initiation, the two became partners after killing a King Taijitu and Ren discovering a living rock by the name of Geodude. Nora, Ren, and Geodude witness the mysterious woman Cynthia and her Garchomp fight off a Deathstalker using Giga Impact and sending the large scorpion deeper into the woods.
Nora immediately takes a liking to the older woman and asks her many questions on what she did just now. After the Initiation Ceremony, Cynthia explains to Team RWBY and JNPR what Pokémon were and where she came from. Nora, mildly disappointed because she didn't have a Pokemon, asked what the difference was between a regular and Alolan Vulpix.
The older woman gets close to her and finds a Joltik on Nora's hammer and the younger girl screams in happiness that she finally has a Pokémon.After listening to the Pokédex entry for Joltik, Ren theorized thought it was because of the discharge her hammer gave off.
Not caring in the slightest, Nora cuddles with the adorable little arachnid, promising they'd be best friends.
