-Two Days Later

I was determined to leave the house today. I haven't gone out anywhere in the last two days in fear of running into Harry again, or worse... Connor or Ashton. But today was the day I was going to go out and do something! It was a Saturday, I couldn't possibly stay in all weekend, right? I mean, I could if I wanted to. (And believe me, I wanted to desperately.) But after staying in my bedroom for the past two days, I figured it would be good to get out. Plus Mina and Michael refused to buy me Taco Bell because apparently I was "blowing this out of the water", and "making it a bigger deal than what it was". So I was leaving to get lunch, by myself.

I threw my hair up into a quick ponytail and slipped my vans on my feet. I contemplated whether or not I should go all out and cover my face in makeup, but I thought against it. The drive-thru people weren't going to be marrying me, so what was the use in getting ready for them? I threw my hoodie on and grabbed my keys, phone, and chapstick and put them in my bag. Leaving my room for the first time in over 21 hours, I was greeted by Mina and Michael who looked like they were going out as well... only they were more dressed up than I was.

"Oh my god, she's alive!" Michael fake gasped. "She looks gross as hell, but at least she's alive!" He places his hands over his chest where his heart is and fake sobs.

Little piece of shit.

Mina slaps the back of his head. "Shut up."

"What?" Michael questions innocently. "I'm only happy to see my best friend out and about. Even if that means seeing her un-showered and gross." He gives me a smile and I flip him off.

Mina ignores him and gives me her attention. "We were going to go see a movie. Do you want to come with?" I look down at my appearance and look back at Mina with a "na, not really" face.

"You don't look that bad, Alessandra." Mina rolls her eyes.

Just as I was about to defend myself and basically rant about my life falling apart and how my grossness was a part of that, someone knocked on the front door of our apartment.

We all three looked at one another but no one was wanting to answer it. Just as I groaned and began walking towards the door, Michael just yelled at whoever was on the other end to come in. Mina hated when Michael did that, but then again, we didn't have many guests that we didn't know.

"Is Mina dressed?" Connor asks from the other side of the door. My eyes widen at the sound of his voice.

"God, you walk around the apartment without pants one time," Mina grumbles. "It's my apartment, I should be able to walk around here naked if I want!"

Michael only chuckles and grabs Mina from her wrist and pulls her onto his lap. My heart rate begins to pick up and I'm frozen in my spot. Connor, my best friend, is outside that door. The same dude who I have been avoiding since I found out Michael "accidently" sent him one of the three love letters I wrote. Connor, the dude who I love without a doubt, and have such strong feelings towards. He was outside that door. A fricken door separated us, and I was both excited to see him and that beautiful face of his, but I was also going to avoid him like the plague. No way in hell was I going to talk to him after I found out he probably received that letter. Especially now that I looked gross, nope, no, nada.

Just as I got up the courage and the brain to book it to my room, Mina said the six words I was dreading: "Yeah, I'm dressed. Come on in." The door handle turned, and my heart was racing. I was screwed and Michaels fucking smirks weren't helping one bit.

Little shit.

I jumped behind the sofa just as he came in, and I just kneeled down praying to all of the gods that he didn't see me.
