Nanuq is known for his kindness and philanthropy by all in the town of Black Beach and even beyond the town.
He and all his family, as well as most of his people, are followers of the old ways even though many tribes are changing around them.
Nanuq is a firm believer in the old ways just like his father however he believes that there are good things about the new ways and the new people that came to their land and believes that if people would put their hatred beside they could live side-by-side and make their land better.
He knows what happens to other Natives and other tribes in the past but he believes that it's possible for people to change and make amends and do what's right.
He believes that he can be the symbol he wants the world to be and so every chance he gets he tries to make peace between both sides even if no one will listen.
He believes the medicine and spirituality of the old ways can work side-by-side with that of the new ways and is willing to try and show people that
He is kind and willing to help everyone even if he knows if they'll take advantage because he knows that what thing is the right thing doesn't matter to him if they're his own people or not.
He's also willing to stand up to whoever is wrong to tell them what is right even if it gets him in trouble!
He believes that all people no matter what should be equal and given the same rights that he believes are owed to humanity and he's willing to stand up for people that aren't willing to or can't stand up for themselves.
He is a bit closed off and a very gentle and soft-spoken person who is excessively polite and at times can be quite shy, he is very content with the Silence of Nature and simple things.
