Obi shifted his weight from where he was sitting far up in a tree.

The 'almighty' plan Anakin had come up with was supposed to take flight soon. He fidgeted again, it wasn't that he didn't like Anakin's plan, in all honesty it was well thought out.

But knowing his former padawan, he was willing to take unnecessary risks.

Obi and his small force were supposed to stay in the trees, directly above the droid base that was like a parasite infecting a wood.

When Anakin and his much larger battalion storm the gates, Obi would sneak in the back, find any information he could about the Separatists' next attack, leave a generous amount of explosives, and clear out the area.

And 'BOOM' goes the base.

He fidgeted again.

"With all do respect sir," An irritated voice sounded beside him, "would ya stop moving? It's going to draw attention."

Obi glanced to his side at the clone next to him, Cody.

"Sorry Cody," Obi apologized, "just hoping Anakin actually follows the plan."

Obi's orange armoured friend chuckled silently, "Anakin always follows through with the plan," when Obi raised one eyebrow Cody added, "one way or another."

"True, but that doesn't mean I won't worry."

"I thought Jedi don't worry?"

Obi suppressed a smile, his loyal commander always knew how to calm him down, and for that he was grateful.

"We are still human though, we all feel things--and how many times have I explained this to people?"

Cody mimed counting, then stopped and cocked his head to the side, "Too many times to count sir."

Obi grinned, about to say something else, when a thunderous BOOM echoed across the land, he clenched tight to a mossy branch to his left, on his right Cody put his helmet on, smoke was rising on the horizon.

"Cody!" Obi hissed quietly, "Status?"

Cody stayed silent for a bit, surveying the smoke that was about a mile or two away, "Looks like a bomb exploded, could be droids that misplaced- or mistepped- a bomb, or..."

"Anakin." Obi finished.

Ahsoka spread out her legs to gain balance as her whole world shook.

The air smelled of smoke and the tangy smell of blood.

A few yards away a bomb had blown, not one of theirs, to make it worse hundreds of battle droids started flooding out of the forest, the damp rain still poured, she turned to her Master for advice to see him in combat with ten battle battle droids. As he drew his light blade she got a quick look at the surprise then sure fury expressed on his scarred face, he did not need her help.
She whirled in a tight circle to survey the surrounding area, clones were blasting and taking cover and yelling orders.

Her eyes swept over the burned grass where the bomb had exploded, bodies were strewn across the area.

There!

A familiar blue-clad body was a few paces away, she launched towards her friend.

Rex was flat on his face and unconscious, she grabbed his shoulders and rolled him over.

"Rex!" she exclaimed, she took his helmet off and slapped his face lightly, his eyelids fluttered and she let out a sigh of relief.

His eyes shot open, and before Ahsoka could comprehend what was happening he whipped his pistol out and BANG! Shot something behind her, she reeled around to watch the droid stumble to the ground.

"Thanks Rex." And she meant it.

"Anything Commander." He slowly got up, she handed him his helmet and he put it on. "This ambush was unexpected..."

"When is it ever?" Ahsoka retorted. BOOM! Another bomb went off near the back of the train of troopers.

She started towards the explosion but noticed Rex wasn't following her, she glanced behind to see him put three fingers to the neck of a trooper in clean white armour, a Shiny.

She raised her eyebrows at him and he sullenly shook his head, and ran after her, together the hurdled into the smoke.
