Rex walked beside Skyliar, a little ways from the front. He felt a little better, she had made him eat these bland berries, and they had made him feel pretty good.

"So." he said, wanting to speak to her, "why did you stay?" he asked.

Startled, she looked at him, "What?" her eyes sparkled in confusion. Then, in understanding, she looked down. "I...don't think I know how to answer that."

He nodded his head, "Somethings are easier to be left unsaid." he leaned over and placed a gloved hand on her shoulder, "But if you ever want to talk about it we can."

Skyliar turned a curious shade of pink, then shrugged his shoulder off, mumbling a quick 'Thanks.' she walked on.

Anxious and a little curious, Rex asked a less-personal-question. "Why are there clans and tribes? What is the difference?"

Skyliar chuckled, and side-eyed him, "So, there are about twenty or so clans on Loogeen. Each clan has a special trade, like the Hunt-Clan, who specialize in hunting, and weapons. The Coral-Clan, they are known for their swimming habits and their jewelry. Or the Ag-Clan, short for Agriculture." she flitted her eyes to the ground, "That was my home." she cleared her throat subconsciously, "And the Tech-Clan, the one we are headed to as of right now.

Each clan is made up of many large towns-or we call them tribes- that make up the surrounding area. Each follows the said trade. And each Clan's Citadel is where the Leader lives. And the healer." she scowled, "Each healer takes on an apprentice, sometimes more than one. But. since I was banned." She gazed up at the setting sun. "I just must wonder what will become of Ag-clan. Now that I am gone..." she trailed off.

He shrugged, "I honestly wouldn't know," he followed her gaze to the yellow halo that was dyeing the sky with dazzling artistic colors. "Do you think you will find a home? In Tech-Clan. I mean."

She bit her lip, a shadow passing over her dark skinned face. "That...I can only hope for."

A rustling came from their left, and Rex jumped, then pushed Skyliar behind him while she muttered in shock. He placed a hand on his holster, the surrounding clones had stopped and were awaiting their captain's next move. A curly headed blur shot out and Rex drew his gun, pointing the nose down at a dark olive forehead. The kid yelped and fell back onto his knees, his black curls rustled, almost burying his brown furled horns, his dark brown-black eyes stared fearfully up at him.

"ATTICUS?!" Skyliar roared, jumping out from behind Rex, before he could say anything she had rushed over to the boy and grabbed his forearm, she pulled him roughly to his feet.

Stirring and voices came from behind Rex, then Anakin and Ahsoka pulled through, quickly followed by Fives and Echo.

"Um. What's this?" Ahsoka asked quizzically, suspicion glaring in her eyes. Rex didn't understand why she was acting like this, Ahsoka always was the most trusting, then why did she not like Skyliar? Rex shrugged inwardly, he never understood girls. Which made sense, seeing how he grew up with only men that looked exactly like him.

"Hey." Anakin said, an annoyed edge to his voice, "I know you."

The boy-Atticus-was only about Ahsoka's age, maybe younger. "Yea. you're the guy that got my sister banned from home." He roughly pushed Skyliar away and stood up to Anakin, he didn't even reach his chest. "Maybe if you and your flesh-droids never came here we would be fine."

"Flesh-droids?" Fives said, his voice dripping with disgust.

Rex narrowed his eyes at the young boy, what were flesh-droids? Wait... was he talking about them? Rex felt a little hurt by this comment. He wasn't a droid. He had a name, he breathed and walked and talked. He thought living and breathing thoughts. He deflated slightly, he turned and saw Skyliar looking at him, her eyes looked pained. But she made no move to talk back to Atticus.
