-You only live once, but if you do it right. Once, is enough.

Skyliar looked quizzically over to the tattooed man in front of her, the soldier had a strange-hard not to look at-tattoo of the Republic emblem on the upper half of his left face.

He smiled, and took her hand and shook it, she pulled away, two others came up, one with a teardrop tattoo another with lines and dots on his.

"Hi?" she said, unfamiliar with this much attention from strangers.

"Give her some space you guys!" Said the clone crouching down beside another, his hair was shaved close to his head, but it had intricate designs and words shaved into it. "I need her help, and you aren't part of it."

They backed off, and Skyliar squatted down beside Kix, he side-eyed her then went back to work on the left arm of a shirtless soldier, his arm appeared to be swollen around his bicep, blood trickled out.

"What can I do to help? I-" she was cut off as the clone screeched in pain, she went to his head, "Hey! It is ok, hey, hey. Eyes. On. Me." the clone's brown eyes looked up at her, pain seared through them.

Kix shrugged, "I guess you will calm him down then." he continued on the wound.

Skyliar crawled closer and placed the clone's head on her lap, cradling him.

When they had finished, the clone had fallen into a deep sleep, before he went under, delirious with drugs, he had clasped her hand in his, "Thank you." he smiled.

She returned it, "Of course."

"Your...name?" he slurred.

"Skyliar." she leaned closer, her smile growing. "And what is yours, good soldier?"
He closed his eyes and smiled widely at her remark, he opened his eyes, blurry with druggedness, "I....am....Sterling...." and he slipped into sleep.

She leaned back and whispered, "Sleep well, Sterling. You'll need it." She felt someone staring at her, "Yes?' she turned to Kix.

He smiled, "Good job."

She smiled back. "Thanks, just doing my duty." she looked around, "Anymore?"

He shook his head, "No, you had helped me with the others earlier." He got to his feet, holding out a hand to help her up, she took it. "Sterling was the last."

She squirmed and looked around, suddenly itching to work again. "Now what?"

He laughed, "I am going to sleep." he yawned, "I advise you to do the same." he waved at her then walked away, she watched him leave, she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, so much has happened! How do you sleep at a time like this?

She turned in a tight circle, "Perhaps I should get the Hann'a and Choke. Starting the brew would probably be the best thing to do."

"Need help?" a voice asked behind her, she whipped around, Rex was standing there, the pained expression was gone, to be replaced by a determined look. He was still pale, but he looked better, an energetic look flashed in his eyes.

"No!" she shook her head, "You are still hurt."

"I am fine!" he complained, jogging up to her, "I feel like I could climb the tallest tree and jump down it and still not break a sweat!" his eyes flickered.

She knew there was no getting rid of him now, "Fine, find another set or two of hands and then, you may come." she turned her back to him and walked towards a thick grove of shrubs, their grey-green oval shaped leaves shivered and shrank away as she touched them, she got down to her knees and started digging at the base of one.

"Whaaaat are you doing?" a voice asked behind her, she turned to see a clone with short cropped hair, a red tattoo made an artistic lopsided X over his face.

"Making sure your fellows can move." she turned back to her digging, "I could use some help, did Rex send you?"

"That is Captain Rex ma'am, and yes, he did." he corrected, then knelt beside her, his tense hard eyes bored into her, she shifted uneasily, "What must I do?"

She pointed to the hole she had made, "Dig that more, I'll go up top, see if I can find the Choke, if you find any reddish roots, carefully dig them out and make a little pile." she stared up at the dim light sky, "I am Skyliar, by the way."

"Dogma." He didn't look up, he was intent on digging up the ground.

She was about to start climbing when the leaves started shrinking away agai, she looked over to see Rex and the Republic tattooed one coming over.

"Jesse." is all he said.

"Ok." Skyliar said, she turned and pointed up to the trees, "I'll take Rex up into the trees, Jesse can stay down here with Dogma and help him."

Dogma narrowed his eyes, "He is a higher rank than you, call him Captain. Right sir?"

Rex opened his mouth but Skyliar was quicker. "Hold your tongue Dogma! He isn't my Captain so you can just shut up and dig up those roots!" she snapped.

All was silent, then Dogma gave her the stink eye, and turned back to his work.

"Hahah!" Jesse laughed, after a while he looked at Skyliar, mimed wiping a tear, his face red with laughter and a smile beamed on his face. "You sure are something Skyliar! Hah! Only the good ones can shut up Dogma! Hahahah!" he leaned over, placing his hands on his knees and stifled laughter.

Rex smirked, "Where to?" he asked.

Skyliar grinned and ushered him towards a large tree.
