(too lazy to put a inspiring quote)

The pain in his ribs made it impossible to move. He waited with closed eyes for the blast to collide with him. The gun fired, but didn't even hit him.

Rex painfully opened his eyes, to see the droid shot, stumbling to the ground.

"Well don't just lay there!" A familiar voice hissed, Fives! Oh thank the stars! Grimacing, Rex stumbled to his feet, Fives' hand grabbed his arm again, and dragged him to his feet.

A few feet away the woman was still wrapped around the droid, she struggled and yelled, kicking her feet.

The droid raised a bulky blaster hand to the woman's head.

Fives whirled around to shoot, but Rex was quicker. He raised a gun and skillfully fired, the blaster buried deep through the droid's elliptical head.

It tumbled to the ground, the woman ran away from it and over to them, her face in a deep frown that looked as if it would never leave.

"Thanks....I guess." something about her face said other words, but Rex couldn't place what.

He hunched over, dropping his pistol as an unnerving wave of pain washed over him, he clutched the place where he had been shot, it stung to touch it, but it was the only thing holding back the blood. Barely.

Fives gasped, and placed a hand on Rex's shoulder, "Rex!" He exclaimed, but his voice sounded far away, the woman's eyes widened and she stepped forward, why were there two of her? He smiled under his helmet, and five-Fives?

His body shook and he doubled over and stumbled to the ground.

His world went black.

Skyliar stared down at the sleeping clone, night had long fallen, the battle had been fought, and there were many wounded.

She had offered to help, though Anakin was hesitant, he allowed her to assist their field medic, 'Kix'.

She placed her crossed arms on her knees and rested her chin on top. Why was she helping them? Why did she care if they lived or died? Because they saved her life. She hated owing people, it left a long and bothersome weight on her back, it made her feel untrustworthy.

Why had this clone chosen to save her? She looked down at the silently snoring man, his dark skin even darker in the night light, his blonde hair shaved closely to his head and though at night it looked silver. He had a strong jaw that clenched even while he slept, and on his cheeks and under his eyes were worry lines and smile wrinkles, his nose was large and strong looking as the rest of his face, and he had a jagged white scar engraved on his chin. She silently wondered what color his eyes were.

Not that she would ever admit it, but if he weren't a clone, she would've thought him attractive.

She sighed and looked up at the night sky.

The clone stirred beside her and she turned back to him, he clutched his head, his already clenched jaw clenched harder, and a small groan of pain escaped his lips.

He tried to sit up, but failed, and leaned back, clutching his bandaged middle.

"Easy." she said, surprising herself with the softness of her voice, "You had quite a fall."

He squinted at her, in the dark his eyes looked black, but a sparkle of bronze glistened in his eyes.

She grabbed a canister behind her, she swirled it a bit. Then handed it to the injured soldier, he grabbed it and made a confused look at her face, she held a small smile on her lips, "Drink it," when he didn't, she continued, "It is a common brew of my people, it will make your blood start pumping and wake you up, or if you are cold it'll warm you up, or if you are wounded," she pointed at him, "it shall numb the pain and give you strength."
