"Your saviour is here!" Loki yells, standing in the open doorway as the ships lands. He walks down onto the Bifrost, grinning as he passes through the crowd of Asgardians. "Did you miss me?"

"Sorry," I mutter as I follow him, pushing my way through them. There's a rumble and I look up in time to see a massive fork of lighting slice down towards the palace. I guess Thor got here before us. I think I see something fall from one of the balconies, but it doesn't matter. All over the Bifrost, what look like skeletons are swarming towards the ship, hacking at anyone in their way. I draw my dagger, wishing that I'd chosen something with a bit more reach. Oh well.

Another rumble of thunder sounds, and I catch a glimpse of something moving incredibly fast and flashing bright white. I cast a glance at it, then stop. Thor is hurtling down towards a horde of skeletons, lightning trailing behind him like some kind of bizarre meteor trail. He crashes into them, sending pieces of bone and metal everywhere.

I kick sideways as one of Hela's soldiers runs towards me, my foot crashing directly through it's ribcage and causing it to fall apart. I spin around, using my dagger mainly as something to smash bones with rather than actually cutting anything. I mean, there's no skin to cut. I don't pay any attention to the people around me, focusing solely on the enemy. I pick up a spear from one of my victims, swinging it around and taking out two at once. It's very satisfying.

There's a roar and I catch sight of the Hulk hurling a giant black wolf over the edge of the Bifrost, then realise I'm out of skeletons to smash. At least for the time being. I head over to where Thor is standing among a pile of bones and smashed armour, breathing heavily.

"You're late," he says, glancing over my shoulder. I turn, and Loki flashes a quick smile.

"You're missing an eye," he points out. I turn back to Thor, doing a double take when I see that he is indeed missing an eye. All that's left is a dark hole in his face.

"We're only late because you electrocuted us and left us on the floor," I say, crossing my arms.

"This isn't over," Valkyrie calmly walks past us, headed for the palace. We follow her, but stop pretty quickly when we see Hela, standing alone on the bridge.

"Hit with a lighting blast," Loki tells Thor.

"I just hit her with the biggest lightning blast in the history of lightning blasts. It did nothing! The longer Hela is on Asgard," Thor muses, "the stronger she gets. We need to stop her here and now."

"No shit, Sherlock," I chew the inside of my cheek, thinking.

"I'm not doing get help," Loki says quickly.

"Asgard's not a place, it's a people." Thor completely ignores both of us. "Loki," he turns to his brother, "Surtur's crown, the vaults."

"Are you fucking crazy?" I stare at him incredulously. "Surtur's crown is in Muspleshiem, we don't have it!"

"It's in the vaults," Thor explains quickly, "I retrieved it. Loki, go now!"

Loki nods, then vanishes. I'm still staring at Thor, trying to make sense of everything.

"You can't defeat me!" Hela calls, smiling at the four of us. Behind me, I can hear the Hulk's heavy breathing.

"I know," Thor smiles back, "but he can." Right on cue, a huge monster made of flames and magma and rock bursts through the palace, sending debris flying everywhere and roaring so loudly I can feel it vibrate through me. At the sight of Surtur, I think I see genuine fear cross Hela's face for the first time.

"Let's go," Loki appears beside me, somewhat out of breath. Thor leads the way, running across the Bifrost away from Hela and the fire demon and towards the ship.

"Shit," I whisper, panting as the doors close behind us and we take off. Hela throws spears of something black at Surtur, but they don't seem to do anything. He turns to look down at her, then raises his flaming sword high over his head and plunges it straight down. We don't see her actually die, but I think it's safe to say that she won't be bothering us again.

"Well," says Korg, "the damage isn't too bad. The foundations are strong, we can rebuild this place. It will become a haven for all aliens and peoples." Asgard doesn't seem to agree with him, indicated by the fact that it promptly explodes. "Oh, sorry guys, my bad."

Nobody says anything, and I lean back against the wall, watching Thor take his place at the helm. I slide down the wall, tipping head back and closing my eyes. Every muscle in my body aches, and my ribs aren't as healed as I'd thought they were. I guess getting bashed, electrocuted, fighting an army, and then running the length of the Bifrost in the space of two days isn't very good for one's health.

"Are you alright?" Loki asks softly, sitting down beside me.

"Yeah," I let my head flop sideways, opening my eyes to look at him. He raises one eyebrow. "Ok," I admit, "I'm kinda tired."

"I can't blame you," he sighs, putting an arm around my shoulders.

"You ok?" I ask, resting my head against him.

"Yes," he says, and I look up at him. He leans down at gently kisses me, first on the lips, then on my forehead.

"I think I'm gonna..." I shift positions, resting my head on his chest and curling my legs up against me. I close my eyes, sighing.

"Look at that," he says softly, a hint of amusement in his voice, "I've become a pillow."

"Yup," I mumble, "that's what you get when you're with me."

"I know, and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
