Into You, Hero

Chapter 6

Too good to be true. Who would have thought that my father has approved Hero's request to travelled with me in United States? My mother is way too kind and soft-hearted that I bet she'd approve everything Hero would ask, but as for my father, I was that convinced that he'd put a limit to our relationship, however, he said yes as soon as he heard Hero's plan.

Hero must be one of those one lucky men who could get along with their girlfriends' parents pretty well.

With an excitement evident on my face, I went out of my brother's car and held the strap of my sling bag tightly as I looked at the entrance of this airport in front of me.

Nakasimangot naman ang mukha ng kapatid ko nang lumabas ito ng kotse. Hindi ko tuloy maiwasang matuwa sa mukha niya. Pumayag man ang parents ko na sumama ako kay Hero, ang kapatid ko namang 'to ang tutol sa ideyang 'yon.

Dumiretso siya sa likod ng kotse at binaba ang maleta ko.

Niyakap ko ang sarili dahil sa malamig na hangin ngayong madaling araw. Hindi kami sabay ni Hero dahil galing akong bahay samantalang siya ay mang-gagaling sa kanyang condo. He sent me a text message a while ago saying he was already here. Hahanapin ko na lamang siya para makapag-board na kami.

"Are you excited?" Kuya Reid's enmity became too evident.

"Kuya..." panunuyo ko sa kanya.

"Just be careful, Kim. Huwag ka nang tumulad sa kambal mo na naging padalos-dalos. Huwag puro sarap," pangaral niya sa akin.

I pouted my lips. Magkaiba naman kami ni Hyrie. Isa pa, masasabi kong natuto na sa buhay ang kambal ko. She learned her lesson in a very hard way. Pagkatapos ng lahat nang pagkasawi, she finally found her peace and happiness. Dahil 'yon kay Sofia.

At some point, lahat naman tayo ay nasawi na sa buhay. We stumbled so many times, but that doesn't mean we won't stand up and try to live all over again. We may fall but the guts to lift ourselves and face the reality will still remain. That's what I learned from Hyrie.

"Saka maghiwalay kayo ng kwarto. Mistake starts with ignorance and temptation. You should know how to put a limit in everything you do. Inuulit ko, huwag puro sarap," he added in a firm tone.

"Kuya, I'll be fine. Isa pa, alam ko naman na ang mga 'yan. I'll be careful." I assured him.

Besides, what's the use of condom? Masyadong istrikto ang kapatid ko sa usaping pag-bubuntis. He acts like a virgin!

"I'm just reminding you. I don't want you to end up being pregnant before you get married," he stated and sighed heavily.

"Copy that," I stuck my tongue out and giggled.

He rolled his eyes and shook his head. Napakasuplado naman ng kapatid kong 'to!

"Good morning," said by a familiar baritone.

Masaya kong nilingon ang pinang-galingan ng boses at nakita si Hero mula sa likuran ko. He's like a famous artist with his white v-neck shirt, khaki pants and a beige trench coat. May suot itong itim na aviator na mas lalong nagpatingkad ng kanyang aura. Kahit sa madaling araw ay kumikinang ang hikaw sa kanyang kanang tainga.

"Hero!"

"Queen," tawag niya sa akin habang may ngiti sa labi. Bumaling ito kay kuya Reid. "Salamat sa paghatid sa kanya, kuya."

Tiningnan ko ang mukha ng kapatid ko. Kulang na lang ay tumirik ang mata nito kakairap. I chuckled a bit and held Hero's hand. Without further ado, he interlocked our fingers, which made me  pressed my lips together. Kinikilig na naman ako!
