Chapter 37

Chamber's POV:

After I found the cabin that is at the end of the woods, I run back to where I left Ally. I slowed down a little when I saw her holding my phone. Her face went from confused to...horrified I guess...? I don't know.

I look at her intently from the trees and saw that she was like thinking if something. Based on her facial expressions, it looks like, she's scared of something.

"Hey Allycat, I found a cabin at the end of the woods, it's really a nic cabin you should check it out." I yelled to her and she got startled. I saw her hand quickly move, hiding my phone to my clothes.

"Y-yeah sure... I'll be there just...just hold on a sec." She shouted back to me. She then started walking to where I am standing.

"Follow me, I think I know who owns that cabin." I told her then winked at her then started walking ahead of her.

The sun was already setting down once we reached cabin. I look behind me and saw Ally bewildered by the cabin in front of us.

"So this is the cabin," I told Ally and gesture my hand towards the cabin. "It's not that big or luxury like the others, but there is a pool/lake at the side of the cabin."

"I think it's actually nice. It's simpler than the other cabins." She replied to me and I nod my head. We walked towards the door of the cabin and I was about to open it when a hand put on top mine to stop from opening the door. "By the way, whose house is this?"

I immediately looked at her with wide eyes. "Oh, um, uh... it's from a friend of mine." She doesn't look too convinced, so I smiled at her.

"Mhm...okay." She remove her hand on top of mine and I proceeded to open the door.

We entered the cabin, but walk past the living room and head upstairs. I pointed to Ally where she will be changing and told her that there are towels and clothes at the closet near the bed. She nod her head then walked to the room where I told her to be.

I throw the clothes that I was wearing earlier on the bed and grab a bag at the closet near the bathroom door. I place the clothes there and walk around the bed to my drawer. I open the drawer and dig deep until I have what I was looking for. I grab it and so is the other item.

"Hey Chamber, I think something's wrong with the-" I quickly put the items under the bed and close the drawer. "Heater of the shower..." Ally barged in in the room I was at.

"Hm?"

"The heater, of the shower is not working."

"Oh, um, yeah, sorry, just smack the box and it will work." I said to her and she nod her head.

"Thanks..." She replied but a little scared. She exit the room and I spin my body around and lean against the drawer. My phone started to buzz and I took it out. I answered the call and put it against my ear.

"Harrington, any news?"

"They're quiet, for now. But you still need to look after Ally, who knows which one comes for her."

"I got your point." I said while glancing at the door. "What about the others?"

"They're alright, we're looking after them."

"The men messaged me saying they're ready, do all of them got everything we need?"

"Yes, they have everything."

"Are you sure they're gonna strike first at the ball?"

"Positive, that's what the call said to us. They tracked the caller, and they live a few hours away from the city, which is pretty weird."
