A/N: Since I'm stuck inside because of the weather I decied to upload another chapter. I'm LITERALLY stuck inside; as in I can barely walk out the door before I would get knocked down by the wind and snow. Note; I'm not a victim of Sandy, but even though it's not a hurricane here, the wind is just as strong...  But here you go, and as always, this all belongs to J.K. Rowling1

Chapter 2: Undecided

Slowly, the train got out of the King’s Cross train station, and headed for the country. It was eleven o’clock, and Luna said we wouldn’t be there until dinner time.

About five minutes after we started moving, there was a slight knock on the door. It slid open, and a boy appeared behind it. He looked a little nervous.

“Oh, hello, Neville!” Luna said and a smile spread across her face. The brown haired boy, Neville I assume, looked glad to see her too.

“Hey, Luna. I – can I sit with, uhm, you? There are no other empty compartments and…” he trails of by himself, not allowing us to hear the rest of the sentence. He looks even more nervous than I am.

“Of course, Neville! Have a seat,” Luna said in her dreamy voice. Neville sat down next to her. “Oh, this is Cassidy Blake.” As Luna introduces us he takes my hand. “And this is Neville Longbottom.”

The time passes by slowly. Sometimes I get up and wander around the train, but mostly, I’m in the compartment reading a book. As I look at the students, my mind drifts away to my old school.

I was a really good student at first. I loved to learn and read about magic. As I was brought up in the muggle world, all this was so new to me. My mum had taught me some things, like the value of the weird money, and how to respect other wizards; stuff you don’t learn at school. But things started to get slightly…difficult to me, and I quit trying. That’s why even though I was sixteen, and ought to be attending my sixth year, I decided to enroll in year five. I didn’t want to look too stupid in front of my school mates. But I’m not entirely bad; even though I say so myself, I don’t really suck at potions and charms. Actually those subjects come easily to me.

I looked out the window. It wasn’t exactly dark, but it was a bit gloomy. I could see clouds forming everywhere, indicating it would rain soon. The train started to slow down and all I thought about was that I would finally get out of this train. The train stopped, but I saw no station. There was nothing where we were. I was about to ask Luna about this, but she looked just as puzzled.

It became freezing cold and the lights were turned off. The windows, both on the train itself and the ones in the doors became iced. Something was wrong. I stood up, and with my sleeve, I wiped away a little part of the icing on the door window. Looking to my right I saw someone – no, more like some ghostlike creature – hovering just above the red carpeted floor. It was wearing something I could only describe as ponchos with hoods. For a moment I imagined it wearing sombreros and eating tacos. I tried to giggle at the thought of this scary creature but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Laughing had always helped me when I was scared or angry, but I couldn’t do it. The creature looked at me. At least it turned its head to me, but I couldn’t see any eyes, just a round mouth. I stared it dead in the eye – or, you know, whatever – and I could feel all excitement and happiness leave me. The only things I felt were the abuse and mistreatment I got from my family and fellow students at the old school. I had no longing to even live.

It hovered to the compartment opposite mine. The door slid open and I could see three kids try and stay away from them. Suddenly, a man that I hadn’t seen in the corner stood up swiftly and yelled something I couldn’t make out. Bright silver-white light filled my vision. The creature was swooshed away and as soon I could feel the warmth coming back to my body. The lights came back on and slowly but surely the train reached its former speed.
