A/N: So this author's note has both a sad part and a happy part. It's a long one, and I'm sorry about that. Let's start with the sad part. Guys, I'm sorry. First of my many excuses, In april and may I lost two relatives, one of them was just a few days away from turning seventeen and the other was only 23. This was an awful experience and on top of that I had my finals, was planning to move away from home for the summer and we were preparing my sister's confirmation. This was a bit overwhelming to me, and then on 6th june I had the harderst final and two funerals and then two days later the confirmation, the day after that I had to move. And of course the place I now live in has almost no internet so I haven't been able to upload and on top of that I'm working 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week. So again, I'm really sorry but there is notthing I could do. Gosh, this sounds like something I would write, I love writing drama but I never thing it will happen to me.

The happy part: The bad news is (there's always bad news, it seems to follow me) I won't be uploading next week. The reason is that I got into a week long writer's school/camp in Sweden! Only three people from my country got in and it's such an honour to be picked. And my friend got picked too so I don't have to travel alone. And it's free! This is so crazy. I'm leaving on Saturday. But here is chapter 14, sorry for the long note.

Chapter 14.

One step back. The eyes took a step forward. Two steps more. It made no sound, not even a growl. I could barely make out its face in the dark. I could only see its eyes as they reflected the pale moonlight coming from a tall window a few feet behind me. It seemed to be a dog of some sort. It was a dark colour, maybe black, I couldn‘t be sure. It inhaled sharply and within a few seconds it wasn‘t standing in front of me any more. It was a man; the man from the pictures. He exhaled slowly and took a step further into the moonlight. He wore a long, dirty, light brown trench coat. He had shoulder-long thick, coal-black, curly hair which looked greasy. All over he looked like he hadn‘t showered in weeks or even months. His face showed that he had had just about the same amount of sleep.

I wasn’t very scared, just a little nervous. I don’t know what it was, but I didn’t get a bad vibe from him. As I have mentioned before, I can usually read people well. But lately that sense has really been messing with me so as I looked into the eyes of a convicted murderer who had been locked away for twelve years I could only see Lupin’s best friend who had helped him and then fought against the Dark Lord in the First Wizarding War. I saw a kind man who just had a hard time growing up and was constantly at the wrong place at the wrong time. But I was wrong about Snape and I was definitely wrong now. Yet I couldn’t force my feet to move.

“Why, hello there,” he said in a gravelly voice. He didn’t seem crazy. He looked angry but not crazy.

“H-hello,” I answered, not really sure if this was a man who I should be having a conversation with. Actually, I knew I shouldn’t be talking to him.

“Could you tell me where I can find Harry Potter by any chance?” he asked.

“So it’s true. You escaped from Azkaban to kill him. You are crazy,” I stated. I felt like a ten-year-old all over again. When I had to tell my mother that dad had drowned, I didn’t believe it even when I said it out loud.

“That’s what they’re saying. Well, I can see how they might think that. But yes, I am a little crazy. Nobody goes twelve years locked in Azkaban with the dementors feeding on any glimmer of hope one has, without getting a little kooky. Just lead me to Harry Potter, dear.” I didn’t understand anything of what he just said. Lupin had already explained to me what happened twelve years ago. He had killed two of his best friends. He was completely and utterly mad.
