The tale of Mayumi

"Road to Konoha"

                                      Part 3
     I woke up with cold sweat in the middle of the night, looking around trying to find out if i did something in my sleep. Everything seemed fine so i calmed down a little. Hikaru was asleep and I noticed Kakashi reading his book again.
- "Hey perv, don't you need sleep?"
- "Mayumi you're awake." He stated.
- "Yeah, no shit." I say standing up.
- "Are you okay?"
- "Yeah, why wouldn't i be?"
- "You woke up in the middle of the night, i just thought..."
- "I'm fine." I cut him off. He just nods and continues to read. "You can take a nap, I won't fall asleep anyways."
- "I'm good, i can keep you company." He says smiling and I notice the worry in his eye.
- "He told you, didn't he?"
- "Yeah, he did." He looked at me, putting his book away.
- "I'll be fine, go get some rest." I smile at him.
     He stays quiet and continues to read his book, completely rejecting my offer. I brush it off and just get lost in my thoughts, until I'm snapped back to reality by Hikaru.
- "Morning." He just smiles at me and I notice that it's already daylight.
     We eat a little and got on the move. I didn't hurt anyone but i was still worried, I remained quiet as i Didn't wanted to worry Hikaru, but i was getting flashbacks the whole day. Both of them seemed to notice my unusual quiet behavior and tried to start conversation to get my mind distracted but It didn't work. It got dark and We stopped to get some rest. I offered to keep going, wanted to get out of there faster, but they refused, saying moving at night would be dangerous. We ate in silence and I laid down to get some sleep, praying that I wouldn't lose control.

   Hikarus pov.
I noticed that Mayumi had fallen asleep and insisted to stay on guard tonight, since Kakashi hadn't got any sleep last night. I was checking on Mayumi occasionally to make sure she was okay, everything seemed fine and i was feeling relieved, tomorrow we would be out of this forest and she wouldn't be in so much stress. And when I actually calmed down and relaxed I noticed stuff around us has started to lift in the air. I tried to get to Mayumi but i was frozen in place too. Everything was in the air, including all three of us. Mayumi was levitating and glowing blue and all I could do was scream to snap her out of it.
- "Mayumi! Wake up!"
     I screamed but only managed to wake Kakashi up. He figured out what was happening and tried to wake her up too. He was struggling to reach her, while i was screaming with all my voice. And once he touched her hand, she snap opened her eyes and everything fell down.
- "Are you okay?" I ran towards her and wrap my arms around her.
- "What happened?" She asked looking around, widening her eyes in shock and confusion.
- "Everything's fine, we're all fine." Says Kakashi trying to calm her down and notices he's still holding her hand, quickly removing it and looking at me.
- "I could've hurt you."
- "But you didn't." I say looking in her eyes.
- "Maybe we should've stayed where we were." She says getting up and walking away.
- "Hey wait up!" I yell as Kakashi and I start to follow her.
- "I was doing good there, and the moment I stepped foot in this fucking forest everything that I accomplished got lost, i lost all of my control."
- "It's all in your head." Kakashi tries to comfot her. "Come on, lets get back, we're at the bottom of the cliff and it doesn't looks safe." He says looking up.
- "I don't wanna get to Konoha all messed up and hurt people there."
- "You won't." I say and hear a loud noise, i look up and see huge stones falling down on us, i cover my head and start to run towards Mayumi. But the impact doesn't happen. I look up and all of the stones are hanging in the air, i look at Mayumi and she has her hands towards the huge rocks, illuminating blue.
- "I'm sure you won't hurt anyone." Says Kakashi smiling at Mayumi while she puts the huge rocks gently on the ground.
