The tale of Mayumi

"Rebuilding"

Everyone was working on rebuilding the village and while people were assigned their duties, i was working everywhere, I insisted on it myself, cuz with my powers it was much easier for people, plus i got to hang out with everyone. I was thinking about what i saw while i was "dead" a lot, trying to figure out what it meant. I told Hikaru about that memory shit almost immediately, i knew he wouldn't be able to help me, but i just needed to talk to him. I tried to ask Shizune if she saw something herself, as she died exactly the same way, but she didn't remembered anything.
     I was sitting alone, smoking, taking a break from work. I was deep in my thoughts about those memories again and was levitating my cigarette pack in the air, when I heard someone calling me from above.
- "What's on your mind? You look kinda intense." It was Kakashi sitting on the tree, with his perverted book of course.
- "How long have you been up there?" I smiled at him, I haven't seen him properly in a while.
- "Long enough to notice that something is bothering you." He jumped down and set next to me.
- "But let me guess, you had to finish one important chapter to start a conversation with me?" I laugh and he rolls his eye putting the book in his bag.
- "So, do you wanna talk about it?" He says looking at me.
- "About your pervy book? You wanna discuss it?" I smirk at him and notice a little blush.
- "I would love to actually, but you know I clearly meant the thing that was bothering you."
- "I can't really explain it, it's probably nothing." I say looking down.
- "Try me."
- "Well, when that guy "killed me" i was kinda stuck in my own head, going through my memories." I say furrowing my eyebrows.
- "You remembered something from your past?" He sounded truly concerned.
- "I don't really know, i kept seeing one man."
- "A man?" He says weirdly.
- "Yeah, i think he was helping me with my powers and I kept calling him 'uncle'."
- "So you saw your relative huh? Maybe he was important to you, that's why you remembered him."
- "I don't know why I even saw anything, i asked Shizune if she saw something or someone but she didn't." I said putting out my cigaret.
- "I think i know why."
- "What? How?"
- "I died too, remember? But I didn't die  immediately as Shizune, i was dying slowly because of my sharingan overuse."
- "You were dying slowly." I point out. "So did you see anything?"
- "I saw my father." He says casually.
- "You saw your father?" I looked at him concerned. I knew about his father from Tsunade.
- "I actually talked to him for a while." He smiles and i calm down. "But then i was dragged back."
- "With some sort of green light shit?"
- "Yeah, exactly." He smiles at me.
- "Fuck! So that must be it! i got it now! it happened because i wasn't completely dead, because of my healing powers, my body was fighting it!" I jumped up out of joy.
- "Glad I could help." He stood up chuckling and I hugged him, almost jumping on him, with my arms around his neck. I froze in place, realizing my actions, thinking i made him feel uncomfortable, but then I felt his arms wrapping around me. It felt so warm and cozy, I didn't wanted to let go. He backed up a little looking into my eyes. He was still holding me and my arms were around his shoulders. I was lost in moment, it seemed like he had something to say but was struggling to let it out.
- "Mayumi! Here you are." We heard Hikaru yelled from the distance and Kakashi let go of me, almost like pushing me off.
- "Hey, Hikaru!" He said almost screaming.
- "What's going on here?" Hikaru asked narrowing his eyes at us.
- "Nothing! Right Mayumi?" Kakashi looked at me. He was acting weird.
- "Yeah, we were just talking."
- "Whatever" Hikaru says chuckling. "Tsunade sent me to bring you to her." He says looking at me.
- "Do you wanna come with us? She probably wants to have a drink." I say looking at Kakashi, hoping he'll say yes.
- "No I'll see you later, i have to go see Guy, i was supposed to meet up with him like an hour ago." He says scratching the back of his head.
- "Well, you know where to find us." I smile at Kakashi.
- "Lets go Mayumi, i have to get back to work. Come on!" Hikaru says wrapping his arm around me and leading the way. I look back and see Kakashi looking away and starting to walk.
- "What's up with him?" Hikaru asks looking at me.
- "Have no idea." I say confused.
