Coming Home

Sofia's POV

I quickly cross the street as I pull my suitcase behind me in order to avoid his house

Scattered whistles and cat calls fill the air as I walk past the house and continue towards my own

*5 Minutes Later*

"Hola, familia." I say with a big smile as I walk in the house

(Hi, family.)

"Sof!" My mom calls as she rushes out of the kitchen to greet me and I kick the door closed as she engulfs me in a hug

"Mija." My dad says with a big smile as he joins our hug

"What're you doing home?" My mom asks as she and my dad release me

"I missed you guys." I say with a small smile

"Sofia!" Ruby cheers as he hurries out of his bedroom before engulfing me in a quick

"Are you home for good, Mija?" My mom asks before I nod my head in response

"Finally." My mom says before pecking the top of my head

"My turn." Ruby says before he drags me into my bedroom

"Are you over him? Because you said you'd never come back until you were over him." Ruby states as I sit down on my queen size bed

"I'm--I'm seeing someone new. Well, it's not really new, we've been together for six months." I say with a small smile

"That's good. What's he like?" Ruby asks as he walks over before plopping down beside me

"He's--he's--he's great. Really great. Um his family is rich so that's cool." I say kind of blandly before Ruby gasps and picks up my hand

"Tell me this isn't what I think it is." Ruby says as he motions towards my ring

"It's just a promise ring." I state

"Luigi's Home!" I hear a familiar voice shout causing me to stand up from my bed

"Luigi!" Mario shouts as he bursts into my room

"Mario!" I say excitedly with a big smile as he tackles me into my bed

"You're home." Mario says as he rolls off of me

"I sure am." I say with a small laugh

"Okay. Party. Tonight. And we're going." Mario says

-Later That Night-

"Sad Eyes." I say excitedly before Sad Eyes engulfs me in a hug

"Sof, how are you?" He asks as he releases me

"I'm doing good. How're you?" I ask

"I'm good." Sad Eyes says as I stare at him wanting to ask about him but also not wanting to at the same time

"You wanna know?" He asks

"..Yes.." I say as I scrunch up my face

"He's locked up but he's getting out in a few days." Sad Eyes states

"I hate that I still give a shit." I say before I take a swig of my beer

"For what it's worth he does too. Every time any of us go see him he asks if you're back yet." He says

"Sad Eyes, we finna smoke you comin?" A familiar voice asks before my eyes fall on Carlos another Santo that I used to be close with

"No way, Sofia Martinez." Carlos says as he walks over to me before pulling me in for a quick hug
