"Mom said you have to stay and chaperone us." Ruby groans
"You're kidding, right?" I ask
"Unfortunately, no. But on the upside we're going trick or treating in Brentwood." Ruby says
*3 Hours Later*

I walk over to Cesar and Ruby and some white boy who's dressed up like a cholo
"Damn, aren't you a fine ass brown girl or should I say hyna." The white boy says to me
"Excuse me?" I ask as I cross my arms over my chest and Olivia joins us
"Hey." The white boy says to her
"Hey." She replies
"Where'd you get that?" The white boy asks her as he motions towards the juice in Olivia's hand
"From the fridge." She replies
"That's my mom's pressed juice." The white boy says
"Oh, I'm sorry." Olivia says
"She's on a cleanse. She knows exactly how many bottles there are." He says
"I had no idea. I just wanted a drink and I just assumed--" Olivia starts
"What? That you could just go in and take it? There are drinks everywhere. There's a whole bin of soda right there. Why were you in the fridge?" The white boy says rather loudly
"I was thirsty. It's just juice. It's not a big deal." Olivia says
"Don't tell me what's not a big deal, okay? Do people go in your house, take stuff out of your fridge?" The white boy asks
"Yeah." Cesar, Ruby, Olivia, and I reply in unison
"What the hell is wrong with you people?" The white boy asks
"You people?" Olivia and I both ask in unison
"Hey, just let it go." Cesar says to us
"Don't you have any respect?" The white boy asks
"Respect? Says the white boy dressed like a cholo." I say as I cross my arms over my chest
"Excuse me? Excuse me?" The white boy asks as he steps into my face as everyone in the party turns their attention to us
"Hey, we don't want any problems." Cesar says
"Exactly. You know, I got her. Let me pay for the juice." Ruby says
"Okay. Okay, it's fifty-two dollars a bottle, and then another twenty each for all the food and drinks you had." The white boy says
"We don't have that kind of money on us." Olivia says
