I was trying to get out my hair from it's very tight bun when there was a knock on the door. I stoop up to open it and there was Derek with a goofy smile on his face.
"Hey B"
"Hey D what's up?"
"Just coming in to talk to you"
"Well come in!"
We both sat down on the couch, extremely close to eachother. Don't get me wrong, I was totally okay with it.
"B, I came to let you know that I'm so proud of you. I never cared if we got that mirror ball or not. I just wanted to make you a better dancer and to have a great time doing that. I know I accomplished making you a better dancer, and I hope you had the best time doing it."
I was speechless. I leaned in and gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Still in the hug I whispered,
"Thank you. Trust me, it was probably the best decision I've ever made to be on this show. Thank you so much for everything."
"No problem at all B."
I pulled back but kept my hands on his shoulders. We looked into eachothers eyes. He then looked at my lips then shot back up to my eyes.
"B, the reason I came over here was tell you something. All season I never felt anything, well maybe. I'm not really sure at the moment. But yesterday, I felt something when I touched you. A spark. And I know, we're more than a decade apart. But I don't care. I-I love you B."
I didn't know what to say. I could just feel my cheeks getting red and a smile creeping onto my face. He then looked at my lips again. We then both started to lean in. We closed our eyes, and I felt his soft lips on mine. Our lips moved in sync together.
When we pulled apart, we smiled and chuckled. He took my hand and said,
"Cmon, let's go find everyone."
And with that, I grabbed his hand and left my trailer.
