Prompt: You're in a public bathroom stall when two other people you don't know enter the bathroom. They have no idea you're there. Dialogue their conversation.
I sit in the stall in a semi-disgusting public bathroom. If I had an option, I wouldn't be here but it's that time of the month for me. All girls should know what I'm talking about, boys, maybe not. Two women walk in chatting away. I try to be as quiet as I can, trying not to eves drop but it's nearly impossible with how loud they are talking and how their voices echo for everyone within a mile to hear.
"I know right? I don't know how he could have done that." one of the lady's say in an exasperated tone.
"And to his sister no less. How can someone be so cruel?" the second lady responded.
The first lady sighed. "Yeah, I heard from his mom that he said he was just trying to give her a bath. But how can he be so stupid?"
I start to freak out and reach for my phone when I catch what one of the lady's say something that makes me almost sigh with relief. "Right? He should have known that soap can kill a fish!"
I take that opportunity to exit the stall and finish up in the bathroom. I nod at the lady's as I exit and the stares of disbelief on their faces almost made me burst out laughing.
