So...right now my mom is talking to Austin about something that happened at school..and I'm sitting on the steps listening.

What am I doing with life. Am I that obsessed that I have to listen to every conversation he has!?

Uugghhh.... god help me!! Okay so, I think that Austin punched some guy for talking bad about us and Austin isn't violent at all!!

So she is trying to understand why he did it. I jump at the sudden raise of voice

"Austin just tell me why you did it!" she slightly screams.

In a calm voice I hear him sigh.

"Mother..I told you he just kept talking bad about you guys and it came to the point where he said something-stupid, and I got waay to mad and I hit him! I did not punch. I just..hit him" he says.

My mom sighs, "well you're better than that. You could've just walked away. Sweetie I'm glad that you stood up for us, I'm just disappointed on how you reacted. You're so lucky I'm friends with Mr. Woolmas and that he only let you off with a detention. Be careful next time." she says

" sorry..thanks..." Austin says.

"And..I wanted to talk to you about your crush thing with-"

With who!? ah shoot!! I put my foot on the next step to get closer..and I fall all the way down the steps. My mom screams my name and Austin runs out the kitchen and to me.

"Joey what happend?!" Austin asks, helping me up.

Owww....I hit my head.

"Joey answer me," austin says.

I look up at him. My mom walking in circles....mumbling words I dont understand.

Aww god you didnt help me.

"Joey? You okay buddy?" Austin asks.

He carries me upstairs. He takes me to his room and lays me down on his bed. Ohhhh my god I'm on his bed..I cant handle this!

"Austin...I-I'm fine." I say sitting up.

"Were you listening to the conversation?" Austin asks.

He looks me dead in the eye.

"I-I uh....I mean.....yea" I say in defeat.

He smiles.

"You could've just asked me to tell you. Jeez Joey you're somethin' "he says, I look up and smile.

"Sorry" I say.

Austin walks over to me and sits down.

"Joey, I hope you know that you're one of the most important people in my life right now. Im sorry you had to hear that" he says.

He puts his hand on my leg and rubs it. Oh dear god. Calm down please!

I smile.

"Austin..dont say that.." I say looking down.

He grabs my chin and forces me, gentally, to look at him.

"Joey...dont think that way. You're probably tired, get some sleep. "he says laying me down.

He kisses my cheek and walks away. I sit up and run to the window, I look out side at the bright moon and stars. Why am I so excited over one small thing? It was just a brother to brother kiss on the cheek...nothing much.

What does this mean?

He's not only a male- he's my fricking brother!?

Okay calm down Joseph, just go to sleep. I walk back over to his bed and go to sleep.

After what seemed like 15mins, somebody opens the door. I glace at the clock. Austin put me in his bed around 9:00 and I went to sleep around 9:15. Right now it's...3:00!!

I act like I'm asleep and listen. The person goes into the bathroom and after a couple of minutes they come out. They move a few things and get in the bed.

I sigh at the feeling of his legs barely touching mine. Then his phone buzzes. He groans and gets up.

"Hello"

"yo Austin! Um...I wanted to know if you wanted to come to a party!?"

"um...sorry dude. I want to stay with my bro..he fell down the stairs and I want to make sure he's not concussed."

Oh Austin- I fell down the stairs, I'm fine..it happens.

"dude...just because you have feelings for your brother doesnt mean you have to stay with him every second...bring him then! Come on!! Its gonna be fun!!"

Whoa whoa whoa...feelings for your brother, and I'm the brother? K um- this isnt happening...he must mean like as a brother.

"You're not funny. Im not going, Im gonna stay with Joey, he is way more important. Goodnight Mike" Austin says then hangs up.

"Joey how long are you gonna pretend youre asleep?" he asks.

I jolt up and turn around "h-how did you know!? I ask.

He smiles "I just know you " he says.

I get up and head to the door

"Where you goin?" Austin asks.

"Oh well I thought you wanted to sleep..so I should go to my own bed. " I say.

He shakes his head

"You can stay here. Its almost time to get up. Just stay here. " he states.

I nod and get back in bed. Naturally, we just sleep.
