The Power Inside (Kylo Ren)

Thirty Six

All three of them were lead to a large, dim room; there was a device in the middle that was unfamiliar. 

"Begin the broadcast." Hux ordered. 

Suddenly, a giant hologram of Snoke appeared before them. He was horrid looking, deformed and evil. Elle held her breath and grabbed TJ's hand in response. 

"Supreme Leader," he greeted, "here they are as requested." 

"Good. I assume the three of you know why you are here?" Snoke boomed. 

"Um, no sir." Elle responded. 

TJ and Dez gave each other worried looks; this wasn't how they imagined the plan to unfold. 

"Ah, someone has been left in the dark by their little friends."

"What? What are you talking about?" Elle quickly asked. 

"It has been brought to my attention that Commander Ren failed my strict orders to protect you."

"I um...I..."

Snoke cut her off, "There's no need to defend him. I had foreseen the boy failing. However, I did not foresee the abuse." 

"Abuse?"

"I normally wouldn't concern myself with someone like you but, since you are vitally important to my mission, this time I am."

"Sir...what the fuck is going on?" she asked angrily.

The other two remained very silent as Elle and Snoke spoke to each other. 

"Upon my request, he will be punished for interfering with my plans. No more questions. Dismissed." Snoke stated before his hologram disappeared. 

Elle stood their, dumfounded by what just happened. She had no idea what he was talking about. Abuse? She turned to Dez who swiftly avoided eye contact with her. TJ did the same when she turned towards him. 

"What did you two do!" she screamed. 

"Quiet! You two, report back to your stations. You, come with me." Hux yelled

The two of them practically ran out of that room, leaving Elle alone with Hux. 

"General, can you tell me what the hell is going on."

"I am in charge of you from now on. The less questions you ask, the better." 

"But..."

"Enough! You will continue to stay with your friends until it is time." 

"Okay." she said, defeated. 

Elle slowly made her way back to Dez's room, trying to figure out the role those two played in this situation. 

They wouldn't betray me like that. They're my friends.

Elle opened Dez's door and laid down in her bed. She was worried about Ren and what the Supreme Leader was going to do to him. Nothing made sense anymore. There was a knock on the door, which Elle stood up to answer. 

"Oh, hi Kade."

"Hey. Um, the doctor requested I give these to you. They're helpful for the development of the baby."

"I don't want the pills or this baby. We'll both be dead in a few weeks anyways."

"Oh...okay well take them just to have them." he said, thrusting the packet of pills into her hands. 

"Thanks, I guess." she responded before saying goodbye and closing the door. 

She stared at the packet of medium sized yellow pills and contemplated flushing them down the toilet. Instead, she threw them across the room and want back to bed. Everything was falling apart but she didn't know that it was only the beginning. 

Dez returned from her shift with TJ; they cautiously walked into the room and called out for Elle. She came out of the bedroom and glared at them. 

"Explain, NOW!" 

"Elle please calm down. We did it because we wanted to protect you." Dez insisted.

"Did what exactly?"

"We just informed the General of Ren's wrongdoings." TJ admitted. 

"You what? What the fuck did you say exactly?"

Dez and TJ took turns explaining what they did; Elle's blood was boiling as she learned just how much they betrayed her. She wanted to murder the both of them right there. She was perfectly capable of it, which they knew. 

"I can't believe the both of you would betray me like that! How dare you involve yourselves into something you had no business being a part of! I trusted you but I was obviously wrong to do that! Fuck the both of you, I'm staying somewhere else." she screamed as she slammed the door behind her and ran across the ship. 

Elle had no tears left to cry at this point. She had nowhere else she could stay; she wandered around the quadrant aimlessly as she tried to come up with a plan. Elle ended up at the medical ward just as the doctor was leaving. 

"Elle, did Kade give you the pills I sent?" he inquired. 

"Oh, um yes he did. Thank you but I don't need them. I don't want this baby and I will be dead soon anyways." 

He sighed, "Very well. Have a good evening."

"Can I ask a favor?" 

"I suppose."

"I need a place to stay. Can I sleep in an exam room for tonight?"

He pinched the bridge of his nose, "Miss, you're hopeless. Follow me."

She followed him to his living quarters. His room was larger than hers but smaller than Ren's, however it had the exact same layout. 

"You can stay here until you find somewhere else."

"Uh, thank you doctor." she said. 

"Just call me Wyatt please." he asked. 

"Oh okay." 

Wyatt was an older gentleman with grey hair and medium toned skin. Elle didn't feel threatened by him; he had saved her multiple times now. He offered to leave and come back so that she could take a shower but she refused.

"There's a lock." she added. 

"Alright." he said before leaving to the common room. 

Elle cried in the shower, even when she thought she couldn't cry any more. She had no one left; Dez, TJ, and Ren all betrayed her. It reminded her of why she stayed so isolated. No one can be trusted, not even the people closest to her. She kept telling herself that it would all be over soon and she'd be free from this nightmare. 

She slept on a couch even though Wyatt insisted that she sleep in the bed while he slept on the couch. Elle fell asleep with her hand subconsciously caressing her baby bump.
