Elle stayed with Wyatt as a week passed quickly; there were two left. She was sure that Hux was panicking as he had no idea where she was for the last seven days. Elle told Wyatt everything over the course of the week. He gave her some advice on forgiveness but it didn't resonate. At the end, it made more sense to him why she ended up in his care so many times.

He checked on her baby, even though she initially refused, and found that it was just fine and growing normally. Elle didn't want to be reminded that she had a person growing inside of her, especially one that shared Kylo Ren's DNA.

She came to the decision, after a week of Wyatt's advice, to tell Ren about the baby. Part of her believed that he deserved to know and the other part wanted him to suffer as he watched the both of them die. Elle knew that it was evil to want that but she couldn't help it after the pain he caused her.

She carefully made her way to his quarters and knocked on the door. It took a while before it opened.

"What are you doing here?" he seethed.

"I need to talk to you about something important." she responded, trying to stay calm.

"Nothing you have to say is important to me." he insisted.

"Please."

No matter how mad he was at her, he couldn't stop loving Elle. He motioned for her to enter and followed behind her as she sat down in a chair.

"What is so important that you'd even consider showing your face here after what you did."

"What I did? I didn't do anything. You're the one who fucked up."

"Liar! You cost me my position of authority! I am suspended and confined to this room!" he yelled.

"That wasn't me you fucking prick! I had nothing to do with that! They betrayed me and went behind my back! They made up stories to get back at you for hurting me!" she yelled back.

He stared at her and sighed as he knew she was being truthful, "Fine."

"Are you done yelling at me or is there something else you'd like to blame me for?" she asked angrily.

He said nothing. Elle noticed how rough he looked; his hair was a mess, his eyes were completely empty, and he was much paler than she remembered. She wanted to jump onto his lap and hug him but refrained.

"Good. Now, back to what I came here for."

Ren nodded, encouraging her to continue.

"I'm pregnant." she blurted out.

He looked at her in total shock, "What?"

"I'm carrying a baby...our baby." she repeated.

"You...your...a baby?" he stammered.

"Yes. Do I need to repeat it again?"

Ren stood up and ran over to her, pulling Elle into his arms and holding her close to him. She tried to fight him away but he was stronger.

"Let go of me. You don't get to come back whenever you feel like it."

"Elle, I'm so sorry. Please listen to me, okay?"

"No, I'm done listening to you."

"I didn't mean what I said. I was scared that I was about to lose you and needed you to hate me."

"That's no excuse." she said, still fighting to break free from him.

"I know it's not. It was selfish and I regretted it as soon as you left."

"I don't care! Let go!" she screamed.

He released her and sighed, "Okay."

He left the common room and went to his bedroom, shutting the door behind him and leaving Elle by herself. She groaned and laid her head in her hands. She wanted to hate him but knew that she never could, even after he nearly broke her. Elle took a deep breath and walked to the bedroom door, opening it, and entering.

Ren was laying in bed with his eyes fixated on the ceiling. She walked over and laid down next to him, staring at the ceiling as well.

"Why?" he asked.

"Why what?"

"Why are you here?"

"Because I can't hate you no matter how hard I try."

Ren turned onto his side to face her and his large hand caressed her face gently, "I love you."

Elle pressed her forehead onto his, "I love you too."

"Elle, you need to get the hell out of here."

"What?"

"I mean off of this ship. I can't let you die, I refuse."

"Ren, I..."

He cut her off, "No, I won't let you die for Snoke's fucked up vision. You deserve more than that. I promised that I would protect you."

She held his hand tightly, "I have nowhere to go. No family. No friends."

"Please, Elle."

"Is this because of the baby?" she asked.

"It's not just that, I've wanted to get you off this ship for a while."

"How do I..."

He cut her off yet again, "Let me figure that out. You just need to pack some things."

"Cut me off one more time and I'll strike you in the mouth."

He smirked, "I've missed you."

He kissed her then held her body close. His warmth enveloped her, a feeling that she desperately missed.

"Okay. I'll put together some items." she said as she started to get up.

He pulled her back into his arms, "Stay, please."

Elle smiled in agreement and nuzzled her face into his chest. The soft, rhythmic beating of his heart put her to sleep almost instantly.
