Kyoya's Break (Kyoya x Haruhi) OLD VERSION

Chapter Six

10:00 pm: Haruihi's POV

Everyone had started going to sleep by 10, leaving me awake. I was pretty sure Kyoya was still awake and was just staying in his room. I know he wanted me to be with someone during the night since it was still storming badly, but I really didn't want to sleep in the same room as Tamaki.

Once I was sure Tamaki was asleep, I grabbed a pillow, a couple blankets, and headed to the living room. There were still lights on so I set up a small bed on the couch. I knew by this time everyone should've been asleep. At first, I wanted to turn off the lights, but left them on to help with the storm. I was eventually able to fall asleep, quietly humming a song to block out the thunder.

11:00 pm: Kyoya's POV

I was still awake, I usually am, and decided to make a round of the house to turn off lights and make sure things were cleaned up. I lightly knocked on Honey and Mori's door then stuck my head in. Honey had claimed the bed as well as all the blankets, leaving Mori on the floor with just a pillow. I went and grabbed another blanket for him, throwing it on him before closing the door and heading to Tamaki's room.

I did the same for his room, knocking lightly then poking my head in. Tamaki was asleep on the bed. I had been expecting him to give up the bed to Haruhi and sleep on the air mattress himself, but I guessed wrong. I glanced to the air mattress and noticed Haruhi wasn't even in the room. I closed the door with a sigh, walking down the hall.

I went to the kitchen first, cleaning up the cookie crumbs and storing the rest of the cookies in a jar for later. I finished and turned off the lights in the kitchen and dining room. I made my next stop in the living room, where I found Haruhi sleeping on the couch, seemingly having a nightmare.

I walked over to her, looking down to her. She kept twitching, her head almost completely covered by the blanket. I picked her up and she immediately clung to my chest. I carried her back to my room, setting her onto my couch. She stirred but didn't wake up.

I went back to the living room and turned off the lights, then the hall lights, before heading back to my room. I dimmed the lights enough so I could still see and walked over to my coffee table where piles of papers were sitting. I shuffled them into their correct folders and put the folders away in my school bag. It was already almost midnight, but I wasn't even tired at all.

I walked back to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water, leaning on the counter and drinking half of it. I also got the bag of chocolate chips Haruhi had and brought the two items back to my room.

Haruhi was still having a nightmare when I got back to the room. I set my stuff on the coffee table and knelt next to her head, brushing her hair out of her face. I placed a kiss on her forehead before sitting on my other couch and turning in the tv. I was mainly channel surfing since I didn't really want to watch anything in particular, but had nothing better to do.

12:00 am: Haruhi's POV

I had been awake since around (I think) 11:30. I woke up from the nightmare I was having and found myself in Kyoya's room. I didn't see him anywhere, so I just laid back down and tried to sleep. I could tell I was still shaking though.

I heard Kyoya walk into the room a while later, walking over by me and setting stuff on the coffee table. He probably noticed I was shaking because he came near me and knelt down. I was about to open my eyes to look at him when I felt him moving my hair around, then he kissed my forehead. I stopped shaking after that, no longer focused on the nightmare.

Kyoya had gone to the other couch and turned on the tv. Even though the sound was low, I was able to focus on the tv and fall back to sleep.
