The next day: Music Room Three
Haruhi's POV
I'm the first one here? The lights were off, unusual. I could still see from outside lights coming in through the windows, unlike the complete darkness like in the supply room.

I walked over to the wall and flicked on all the lights. It seemed weird, being the one to set everything up. I don't know who's usually here first since I always get here last. But being here first means I have to set up all the tables, chairs, and trays. I set up one of the tables and put my school bag on it. I went and started setting up one corner of the room before checking the time. We've got 30 minutes before the girls start coming, where the hell is everyone?

The door opened and Kyoya stepped in. "Oh, hey, Kyoya. Where is everyone?" I asked, turning back to the tables and setting more chairs up.

"Well, Hikaru is sick so Kaoru stayed home to take care of him. Honey went to the store to buy some cake and Mori, of course, went with him. I don't know where Tamaki is, though. I thought he would be in here by now." He said, walking over to the kitchen and unlocking the door. He came back out with trays of sweets and set them on one of the tables.

"Why are you so late though, Senpai?" I asked. I just finished setting up another row of tables.

"Ah, I was talking to one of my teachers, he's also a client of one of the Ootori businesses. I felt he would be more loyal if he knew an Ootori son personally." Kyoya replied.

"Kyoya-senpai, you can't trick me like that. I already know you don't just do things if you don't think you can gain anything from it. Remember the day of the Expo?"

"Right again, Haruhi. Although, I was quite out of character that day from being dragged out by Tamaki. I can still never fool you." He said, smiling.

Together, we finished setting up all of the tables with ten minutes to spare, Honey and Mori still not in sight. "Seriously though, Haruhi," Kyoya said, turning to me. "What were you thinking, going up against a man like that!" he reached out and grabbed my wrist out of anger.

I was surprised at how he got angry all of the sudden. "So you watched the news." I looked down. I know Kyoya wouldn't tell anybody about how I got my black eye, it I didn't expect him to get angry about it.

"I'm not stupid, Haruhi, of course I watched the news." he seemed to get calmer, though his grip on my wrist just tightened. "That man had a gun. You could had gotten killed. You should be lucky you got out of there with just a black eye."

"Well I wasn't just going to stand there while the store got robbed! And it's not like he was even reaching for the gun yet."

"That's not the point, Haruhi!" he yelled, making me flinch.

"Kyoya, I alre-"

"It's just like at the beach. As much as I hate saying this, you're still a girl. You can't just keep fighting people like this."

"It doesn't matter, Kyoya. If you kept watching the news you should know I said that I did what everyone should do, not what everyone would do." His grip on my wrist got tighter. "Ow-Kyoya-my wrist."

He looked down and noticed he was squeezing my wrist and let go of it, leaving a red hand mark around it. "I'm sorry." He said, slowing his breath and fixing his glasses. "Well look who's back." He said and pointed to the doors.

"Haru-chan! I bought you some cake, do you want some?"

"Sure, Honey, let me grab some plates." I told him. He ran over to a table and put a cake on it while Mori helped him into a chair. I turned to go grab plates when I heard it. I jumped and grabbed onto the closest thing to me, trembling.
