Kyoya's POV:
"The Jury has made their decision. Silence while they speak." Judge Karika said once everyone was seated. A woman, the same one that took the picture evidence from the judge earlier, stood up with a thin stack of papers and began reading off of them.

"We, collectively as the Jury, find Yoshio Ootori not guilty of purposefully slapping Haruhi Fujioka." I was ready to stand up and protest against them but Fuyumi grabbed the end of my shirt and forced me back into my chair, ready to cover my mouth if she had to.

"Instead, we find Yoshio guilty of active child abuse. He not serve time in prison if he complied with our orders to hand custody of Kyoya Ootori over to Fuyumi Ootori-Shido, as we see her best fit to watch over him. He must also hand his business to Yuichi Ootori, Akito Ootori, or split it between the two until Kyoya is an adult. Then, it is up to the two brothers to decide how the business will be split and whether Yoshio will regain the business or not."

"Are you kidding me?! I don't care how old Yuichi and Akito are, they aren't fit to run the entire Ootori business by themselves!" My father said, well, more like screamed, standing up with his hands on the table.

"Mr. Ootori, sit back down and quiet yourself." The Judge told him sternly, probably one of the few times anyone has ever ordered him around. "You can either comply with the Jury as to not spend time in jail or you can spend five years in prison, Mr. Ootori. It's your choice."

"So I have to hand custody of Kyoya over to Fuyumi and give the Ootori business to Akito and Yuichi. I'm fine with the custody, but for the business I want to handle the meetings and such."

"There's no changing what the Jury has decided in your case. It's either that or five years in prison. So, again, do you comply with the Jury?" The judge asked, completely dismissing his suggestions of change.

"Yes, Your Honor." My father, after a long pause, said with an angry sigh.

"We will be keeping a close eye on the Ootori family from now on, any failure to release custody of Kyoya Ootori and let Yuichi and Akito take care of the business will result in an immediate arrest and five years in prison. Court is officially adjourned." The judge tapped his gavel a couple times, letting us know that it was over, that we won. Not that it was surprising that we won, actually. Everyone was expecting it, probably even my father himself.

Haruhi still seemed sad that we won, like she was afraid my father might try doing something to her. I can see him trying to sabotage her life, but it would make it easier for him to do that if she was unprotected at Lobelia.

"Kyoya! Bohai didn't get anything out of Haruhi, she wouldn't talk. Do you want me to try again? I could probably get her to tell m-"

"It's fine. I'd rather talk to her myself anyway. And quiet down some, you're being loud." I told Jing. Haruhi was already out the door before I got a chance to say anything to her, but if the worst came to it, I knew where she lived and could talk to her there.

"Kyoya, here's a copy of the testament and the order, just in case. I doubt you'll need it but we need to give some copies to the school." Makoto said, handing me a thin stack of papers. "Is...Haruhi still going to Lobelia? If she is, she'll need a copy to give to them."

"She is, but I'm going to talk to her." I told her, leaving to catch up to Haruhi.

"Hey."

"Oh, Haruhi. I was coming to find you, I still want to talk." She was waiting right outside the door for me when I got out there.

"I know. I figured there was no avoiding it, but I'd rather go somewhere private to talk."

"Alright, we can go back to that meeting room if you want." She followed me to the room we all met up in before the trial and walked in after me.
