Monday: Kyoya's POV:
"Haru-chan! We all missed you!""Honey-senpai, you've been visiting me after school everyday, it's not like you haven't seen me for a week."
The week had already gone by so quickly and I had been keeping in touch with the lawyer and Ryoji. We still haven't told Fuyumi or Akito yet since we still need to move a bunch of my money from my account to Ryoji's before my father can take it away but once that's settled I'll be able to get the support from them.
"Haruhi! Follow us, the girls made a lot of pictures for you, we hung them up on this wall." The twins pulled Haruhi to the corner of the room that everyone covered with pictures and mementos.
"Are these gonna stay here? And why are they all done in crayon?" Haruhi asked, staring at the wall in shock.
"That's the next event, Haruhi. You get to judge the drawings then pick the top ten. Those ten will make another drawing but under a time limit. Then you pick top three and they get prizes." Tamaki explained. I wasn't too far from them and could hear them but tried to focus on my work. Along with the the usual Host Club work that I have to do, I was also busy trying to get another phone with a different company so my father couldn't just shut mine off again.
Ring....Ring....Ring....Ri-
"Hello?" The number had come up on my phone as unknown, pretty uncommon since I have a lot of numbers from clients and such saved to my phone.
"Hello, is this Kyoya Ootori?" A gruff sounding voice, obviously belonging to a man spoke.
"Yes, this is he. Are you a new client to the Ootori business?" I asked in a customer service. My father used to send newer clients to me if he was too busy to help them but he hasn't done it in a while.
"Not exactly, I was a plus one with the Qian Company at the Ootori Gala and noticed what had happened near the beginning of it. I'm calling on behalf of Jing Mo."
"Jing Mo?" Mo was our Chinese client, a pretty big one too. He was only 17 but had inherited his whole family business from his father who wanted to retire early. They have much more money than we do and would always "accidentally" over pay for items then let us keep it instead of trying to have it returned.
"Was he concerned with my family relationships? We're completely fine now, if that is so. It's all been settled already." I told the man, probably a secretary or assistant.
"The Sir actually wanted me to call because he was interested in your case, he wants to support you and help you win. We're still going to be in Japan for a few more months and- Huh? Alright, Sir, just a moment. Sir Ootori, The Sir would like to speak with you."
"Hand him the phone, and you don't have to call me Sir, I'm not your boss-"
"Kyoya! Long time no talk! How's it goin', any big sales recently?" Jing Mo practically screamed into the phone. He was almost as annoying as Tamaki but he actually knew when to quit and be serious. That's why he was actually able to handle running the entire company before he's even 18.
"Hello, Mo. And you should know that you're alway our largest purchaser, what ever you ordered last was our last big sale."
"Oh, c'mon, Kyoya! We're best friends as well as business partners, you don't have to be so formal! Call me Jing, just like always." He was right, we've known each other our entire lives. Our fathers have been business partners for a long time and when the contract they made became solid, Jing and I met. Jing had stayed in Japan for a few years before going back to China and we stayed friends the entire time. Ya being friends is one of the biggest reasons the Qian Company stayed with us all these years.
"How have you been, Jing? I'm sorry I left the Gala early and didn't get to speak with you, something had come up."
"Yes, I know, I watched it all happen. That girl you were with, she seems interesting. I want to help you win your case with her in court, no lady like her should ever be hit, even if she deserves it. To be honest, I thought that she was a boy the first time I saw her. I was gonna pat you on the back and tell you I knew you were gay."
"Many people think she's a boy, it's complicated right now." I sighed then continued, walking out the doors and standing on the hall. "Are you still in Japan? If you aren't, don't go through the trouble of coming back just to help us"
"I'm staying in a hotel currently, not too far from your city. I can come meet you at your house with everyone involved in the case and help you get things sorted out. I'm going to talk to your school's headmaster as well, I'll see if I can get you guys some time off from school so we'll have more time to work."
"That won't be nessecary, Jing, and I'm not currently staying at my house. My father is still home for a few more days but he has a business trip planned in England soon."
"That great, I'll come tomorrow, when are you out of school and where are you staying? I've got my assistant here with me too, he'll be a big help to us since he was also a witness. I'm sure everyone else at the Gala was busy with the drinks and snacks so there shouldn't be any other witnesses. Your servers kept them busy, you'll have to tell me where you hire your workers."
"I'm just staying in a hotel close to Haruhi's house. It's nothing big since I need to watch my money as of right now but I'm getting my money switched to another account so my father can't take it."
"Oh, money won't be a problem, just ask me and I can't send you it in a heartbeat. No payback required either."
"No, Jing, I'm not asking you for money. Nor will I ever. I'll send you the link to the hotel I'm staying at as well as links to better hotels if you want something of better service. I'm sure you already have my lawyer's cell number, you probably found out about our case through her."
"Correct-o! I'll call tomorrow when we're on our way. We'll be over around 5:00 and we can meet up at a restaurant, that sound good?"
"Yep, I'll be waiting. I haven't told Fuyumi or Akito about anything yet but they'll probably know by tomorrow anyway. There'll probably be eight of us, including you and your assistant. Send me a link to any restaurants you want to go to and I can make a reservation for it."
"That won't be a problem, Kyoya, my assistant can do that. Eight people, you said? Well it a plan then, see you tomorrow!"
1212 words (oh mah gawd the same number twicee)
What kind of personality do you think Jing will have? Don't come after me if he starts going after Haruhi next chapter. Though I can't lie and say I don't have some surprises planned. But suffer and wait for next chapter, I'm not that fast at typing.
